Experience with LC Heating and Cooling, *******************************.Contracted LC to install a new HAVC unit. Down payment on 10/ 10/21. Work/full payment 11/3/21. Met LC in November to review system. In my absence, placed thermostat in the middle of a wall in front of warmest part of house... an easier placement rather than most efficient. Was away Dec.-Mar. Haven't experienced heating unit yet.No AC was needed in April or first part of May.4/4 Courtesy visit from plumbing company noticed issues with unit and saw no green tag. I called *********** about inspection. Permit required. Called LC for permit number to schedule inspection. BLAMED me "You didn't want an inspection." False. Didn't know an inspection was required. Called to schedule inspection. One had just been made by LC. April 8 inspection FAILED in 6 major areas.April 12 work completed and green tagged days later. Inspector related to me: a green tag means only that minimum standards were met. DOES NOT mean either materials used to connect unit or workmanship were above standards. In this case the minimum was done.May27 Returned home after an extended leave. House was very warm. Turned on AC for first time. Unit ran and ran with no cooling results.Called LC. Left message at 4:20pm. LC text response: out of town until May 31. I followed text describing the problem and asking for trouble shooting help. At 4:55 he responded: "we had it running when we got inspection". 4:58 My text "what time can I expect you on Tuesday May 31st. Have NEVER heard from LC again!May 31 **************** Cooling/Heating diagnosed problem ******************** short cycling due to...mess wiring" Cost for diagnosis. $214.67. LC FAILED to submit warranty paperwork for unit parts. Manufacturer would not replace. Cost to replace $910.26.Total days without AC during heatwave 13 days.I saved $3000 for an excellent unit, but workmanship and follow-up on warranties a disgrace.
