  Long story short, dont use this company! Use a different company, even if that company charges you more, it will still be cheaper.Everything was fine from the quote, to pickup, to storage and to the day of delivery of my items to my new residence.The problem starts when my wife and I start unboxing and unpack our items. Now, I was fully prepared to expect one or two boxes could go missing during transit, even though its not supposed to happen.We have total of 8 boxes missing, thats not the worst part, items and contents were missing from inside the boxes that were delivered!My wife has a not so small handbag collection, from name brands to not so known brands and quite a few from overseas, most are unique in designs or vintage. 5 of those containers/boxes went missing. I had wrapped all my boxes/containers in shipping stretch wrap, all were removed. Some of my boxes were half-empty. And contents from different boxes were mixed together. My wife had stuffing and special protective bags for her handbags to protect their shape and conditions, those were left inside the container, bags were gone!All in all, they took all the expensive designer brands and cleaned out my wifes collection, rough estimate around 200+ bags. All attempts in contacting the Affordable and Assertive moving are met in silence. No reply or any response. They dont want to talk.

  Working with A&A was the worst, most stressful moving experience I've ever had. I've never had myself, my family, and our hard-earned and valuable belongings treated with such disrespect. We were quoted $10,000 for move and ended up paying over $18,000. In spite of this, our belongings were treated like trash. The boxes coming off the truck were crushed or ripped open. Several boxes were missing, and I never got a straight answer from A&A as to where they might be. We were told in writing and verbally that we could pay the remaining balance by credit card, because $18,000 was way above our original budget--but at the last minute were forced to pay in cash. We jumped through every hoop A&A threw at us to try and rectify this awful situation. I documented everything and submitted the claim form to ********************* as instructed. He told me it would take ***** days for their insurance company to make us an offer. When I called for updates, he was rude, saying I'd "have to be patient," so I waited until the 90 days were up to call again. It was obvious he didn't remember me and that nothing had been done. I found another way to submit the claim directly to their third party handler. There's a 6 month window to submit a claim, and I realized that *** had been delaying me to try to get that deadline to pass. They offered us $170 for our broken items, but nothing for our missing items. A&A didn't put inventory stickers on any boxes, clear negligence of a universal moving company practice. They said we'd have to go to arbitration to address it, which costs $200. After 7 months of this stressful back and forth, I just wanted the process to be over. I accepted their insultingly low offer. 43 days later and no check has been issued. No one at A&A has ever returned my calls--not once--and now they won't even pick up when they see my number calling. For all the carelessness and callousness with which they've treated us and our belongings, it's a very small price for them to pay.

  I will absolutely never refer this company to anybody. They lied to me. Upon speaking to a representative from this company, at first through the phone and e-mail and then through text, I verified, twice, with the person I was speaking to. I wanted to pay with the service with a credit card, for pickup, delivery, everything. The representative CONFIRMED, that I could pay with a credit card for pick up and delivery but that there would be a credit card fee. I was like okay, thats fine. And that was PRIOR to signing the contract. I wanted the confirmation that I could pay with a credit card and thats what I was waiting for. So naturally, after a company confirms with me that I can pay with a credit card, which is what I wanted, my next instinct is to be okay great, lets make this happen. I sign. The move is set. In my mind, I read what was given to me to sign, nothing jumped out at me saying there was a difference for the payment option at pickup and delivery. The movers come, they tell me I have to pay cash and only cash. I tell them, I have confirmation from somebody at your company that I was speaking to, saying that I could pay with a credit card at pickup and delivery. I show them the messages, the interactions. The movers, great and kind people, they were nice. The operation manager that I spoke to in regards to this issue was the worst. All he does is goes on about what is stated in the contract and has the audacity to get mad at me because Im telling him that someone from his company lied to me about the payment options. While it is my own fault for not reading the contract to the fullest, a company should NEVER lie to a customer just to get business. And an operations manager, especially, shouldnt get all pissy with a customer because hes in the wrong. While I understand what the contract states, I wanted confirmation about the payment BEFORE signing said contract. With all that said, do not pick this company for your moving services. They will lie.

  Very happy with ***** and **** who helped us move. They had a great balance of working hard and fast but also taking the care they needed to not damage anything.

  Excellent Movers- Affordable & Assertive Moving & Storage, LLC were very professional, arrived early, were careful with our stuff, brought more then enough packing supplies, and were overall excellent. Would definitely recommend and use again!

  Believe the high ratings! I was skeptical at first but am now a true believer. My girlfriend and I moved two households into one from SJ to ****** When I called ******, my sales rep, expertly scheduled me and explained everything clearly. She also and handled all my nervous follow on questions and changes. The movers ****, ****, and ********* were punctual, professional, respectful of my household goods and fast! I could not recommend them any more wholeheartedly or I wouldn't have taken the time to write this review.

  Great experience with them! Made our move go very smoothly, couldn't be happier!They sent two guys out and they packed everything up really well using moving blankets and made sure it got to our new apartment safely.

  I had an amazing experience with Affordable. The quote request, reservation and follow up process was quick, easy, and hassle free. Movers that helped me were extremely careful and yet fast in disassembling and wrapping of all my furniture and then unwrapping and assembling them back together. I'm very pleased and would highly recommend them!

  Three very nice gentleman's was helping us today move my granny in to her new apartment! It was a stress free move first time in my life! Everything was covered with blankets and cardboard for extra protection! 5 stars it's not enough! Thanks guys!

  ***** and his team did a great job in packing our 2 bed apartment and relocating us to our 3 bed town home. They worked fast and took care of all our belongings.
