I purchased a puppy from Pixies and Paws, and the experience has been nothing short of awful. First, they failed to disclose a serious heart condition (a murmur) that our puppy, ***, already had before we purchased her. By law, they're required to disclose all medical records and health certifications before a sale is made, yet they withheld this information until after we paid. This lack of transparency is deeply concerning. When we reached out to resolve the issue, they were completely dismissive, offering only to take the puppy back (which, obviously, we didnt want to do). They tried to deflect responsibility, saying they can't "predict" a puppys health, but the problem was already known and hidden from ***** make matters worse, they claimed that rescues dont guarantee healthyet they charge $1,600 for a puppy, which is a price youd expect from a pet store, not a rescue. Their behavior and business practices are not consistent with a legitimate rescue organization. After checking their reviews online, its clear this isnt an isolated incident. They have an F rating with the BBB, 2 stars on Yelp, and negative reviews all over the place. This even caught the attention of News 12's **** in Your Corner with an expos on their shady operations.I am highly disappointed and urge anyone considering adopting from here to reconsider. This place operates more like a puppy mill than a legitimate rescue, and they seem to prioritize profit over the welfare of the animals and transparency with customers. - Unfit for sale from my vet. Rest assured I'll be taking more *********** yourself the heartache and avoid Pixies and Paws.

This is a puppy mill disguised as a rescue. They charge $1600 to adopt and many have health issues. Beware.

We picked up 10-week-old cockapoo last Sunday, it was not what we were expecting at all.Very unorganized & unprofessional to say the least. Felt like some back-alley deal.We met in a random parking lot off the highway, rental van pulled up, there were about 20 other families there also.2 women from their team arrived, 1 very friendly & nice who just pulled ******** (who were covered in some hay like stuff) out of their crowded crates & handing them to the new owners based only on a picture we were asked to show her.Did not ask us for any proof of who we were. The other unfriendly girl sat in her car & asked us which dog, scanned her, asked for the payment, which we sent via Venmo to a Mena Sakak had no indication it was their organization.Earlier communication they stated they would go over everything thoroughly with us, which did not happen. The vaccination sheet was just a handwritten post it & a small sheet from the Vet in ****.I have taken her to my Vet last week to find out she has 2 parasites which she's now being treated for.I am very unhappy with this whole process, I was leery on going thru with this to begin with given all the bad reviews & press they had from their previous ************* this one. However, since we already started the "adoption" process & I personally knew someone who did adopt from them & had a better experience, we took a chance & hoped for the best.Unfortunately, as stated above it was very unprofessional and not what we had expected or hoped for.If this is truly a rescue & not like the others claim on previous reviews, I hope they will find a better more professional way of handling adoptions to make this experience a happy & memorable one for future clients.Other rescue places we had looked into did thorough background checks on us, call our previous ****************** here we filled out an application at night & the next morning we were approved and provided information for the pick up a few days later.
