  Had an agreed upon price $595 for a week, I had been told during the week the car was scheduled for Friday pickup. Thursday the day before pick up SMRK called and wanted $200 more. Needed the car moved and agreed on $150 extra. Car was booked with a window of 3 to 7pm Friday. Was told would get a call one hour before. No call, I called SMRK 45 minutes before 7. Said truck will be to me by 7p. Ended up coming at 8:30pm after I called the driver. Was told from **** car will be delivered on Sunday. Called no one for either company answered. I texted SMRK and they responded later in the day that the car will be delivered Monday. After a few more calls, Monday morning spoke to transport company. Car will be delivered Tuesday, never left ** until Monday. Car arrived Wednesday. Driver asked for $575, his paperwork said it. My paperwork said $550. Called SMRK Wednesday evening and was told **** would Zelle me the $25 plus $25 for my trouble. It is now Friday no refund. Called SMRK 11am today, they were going to ***** it by noon, nothing.SMRK to me Dear Customer,I'm glad to hear that your vehicle was successfully picked up and delivered. I apologize for the delays that occurred during the process.I want to confirm that everything was done with your consent and acknowledgement.   I was quoted a guaranteed price of $1950 to ship my vehicles, was charged $3600 in the end. The buisiness owner blamed it on the *** and on the driver. I feel it was simply a bait and switch price increase. ***** courted us for 2 months with the guaranteed price and then raised it only one day before we needed to have our vehicles shipped. He knew he had us over a barrel. DO NOT TRUST THESE LIARS!!!

  In June, I booked SMRK to ship my car from ** to ** at a quoted price of $1085. I paid a $185 deposit via Venmo. Communication Issues After booking, I confirmed my reservation via phone and text. On June 27th, they informed me that the pickup was scheduled for July 12th at noon, with carrier details to be provided 24 hours prior. However, June 11th came and went without any updates. By noon on the 12th, still no word. When I contacted them around 1 pm, they said there was an 80% chance my car would be picked up by 4 pm that day, or a 20% chance it would be picked up the following day. At 4 pm, they then told me it would be by 6 pm.Price Increase At 6 pm, I was informed that the new price was $2300, more than double the original. When I asked why, they simply said it was the carrier's new charge. I questioned why I wasnt informed earlier, and they responded vaguely about carrier pricing. I told them it was too expensive for me and asked for more options to which they said they would get back shortly.Unprofessional Behavior Feeling scammed, especially because they took the money from me on venmo and didn't have the option of a credit card, I began calling every 30 minutes but received no response. Frustrated, I disputed the Venmo charge after 2 hours of waiting. (I had luckily added protection to my venmo transaction). 5 minutes after disputing it, they called, saying they were still searching for carriers but could only proceed if the dispute was removed. I kept the dispute and found another company to ship my car the next day.Final Thoughts Im unsure if SMRK is a scam or if they lure customers with low initial quotes only to hike prices on pickup day. The next day, they called repeatedly, arguing their contract allowed price fluctuations. However, the contract states customers must be informed in advance, not at pickup.Regardless of their legitimacy, SMRK is unprofessional and lacks communication. I do not recommend their services.

  We had a shipping confirmation for our jeep from ** to ** and it canceled on us but we never received a call saying it was canceled, then they found a new driver for the next day so we extended our vacation another night and the same thing happened the next day, in the end we ended up staying 3 extra nights in our hotel and being lied to 6 times with 0 communication from this company and ended up having to drive 1500 miles home and last minute taking an extra week off work. We were also told that they would guarantee our hotel would be paid for if they didnt show up on the 6th try and then denied and laughed that they ever said that. I would give 0 stars if I could. This company had the worst communication Ive ever seen.

  I provided details of car, location etc to be shipped from ********* to ********* and was quoted in writing that they would ship vehicle for $575 if I paid deposit by end on April 2024. I called before end of month to pay deposit and was told by ***************************** that the price is now $875. I read other similar complaints on BBB that are very similar. A very big scam indeed.

  This transporting co. Is not to be trusted. I am trying to transport a jeep from ******* to ***** these dispatch agent like ***** quote for $680.00 then changed to $645.00 then change his status from dipatcher to broker. There it flagged me so i researched the company's name to find bad reviews. The following day i get 5 aggressive calls from a *************** that had a driver waiting at my residence to pick up my vehicle for ****** flat rate, ask what was the company name did not provided till the 5 call claim he worked with ***** at SMRK Auto ship but He is *************** and that we need not to talk to ***** and his driver is in front of my house ready to pick up the vehicle. Now it was a single tow truck with a rear broken window company tag was xerox copy and taped on glass. Another red flag. After taking pictures of the truck driver said bad news this broker is a scam to him or me. Warning do not answer SMRK Autoship address **. Calls from *******.

  Very unprofessional service. I had been eyeing them for a delivery for over a month. They kept pestering me with emails and text messages. I eventually was ready to ship my car and placed my down deposit. It took over a day to get my contract. They said that they had an error with my email address. My pickup date was moved one day (Wed to Thurs) as well. Fine. I took the day off to make sure that they would get my car would be picked up. On the day of pickup, crickets. I tried to call my contract, however they would only test me back. It took over the entire day, and I couldn't get any confirmation of them getting or not getting a driver. Finally called them back, and now I was told that my pickup would be delayed another day. This is crazy! I wished that I would get a call/text/email for me to ensure confidence.Today, I am being asked to pay higher charges to ship my car, 2-3x the actual rate. This is very shady practices. You have lost a customer. Please stay away at all costs.
