On May 24, 2022, BBB contacted the business regarding its website stating the following:
- Guaranteed Credit Approval
- No matter what your credit score is, we will get you financing for your vehicle.
- New Jersey's largest indoor pre-owned auto dealer (Carlink Advantage video on home page and on Advantage page)
According to the BBB Code of Advertising, Credit
The words "guaranteed approval" "no credit" or words of similar import should not be used unless true, since they imply that consumer credit will be extended to anyone regardless of the person's credit worthiness or financial ability to pay.
In the BBB's experience, auto dealers who make these claims are often trying to convey to consumers that they will work with them to get financing. However, most financing for those with poor credit includes higher finance charges and annual percentage rates and a much higher down payment. Hence these claims do not support the BBB Code of Advertising.
Unfortunately, the business failed to respond to BBB's request to modify or remove the claims from their website.

According to the BBB Code of Advertising, Basic Principles of the Code
Advertisements should be truthful, sincere offers to sell. Advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request. All advertising that may mislead or deceive consumers should be avoided.
- The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or the Better Business Bureau.
- Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used.
The business responded but unfortunately, failed to substantiate or remove the claim from their website.
