      We just finished a project with Hale Built Group and couldnt be happier with both the crew and the results. They came in to undo a project that had been sold to us by another basement contractor. If youre searching for this type of work, that company likely shows up on the first page of the search results. Our forensic engineer told us we had been sold an art installation in our crawl space" and that it was doing nothing.***** from **** Built proposed the most straightforward fix, backed by engineering. Everyone else wanted to rip up our neighbor's driveway and turn it into a huge, unnecessary project. **** Built was one of the only companies willing to actually do the work inside the crawl ********* important note: they were not the cheapest. But ultimately, I wanted the best, not the cheapest, and I 100% believe we made the right choice. This is coming from someone who does 90% of his own projects to save money, but when it comes to the structure that holds up the house, cutting corners isnt worth the risk.We had four companies come out to bid the project. I asked each one whether they would be willing to do the work without pulling permits or involving engineering. Every single company said yes... except for *****. In fact, two of them said permits werent even necessary because it was a replacement, and they werent planning to pull them even if we asked.***** was the only person who refused to do foundation work without permits. To me, thats the sign of a legitimate contractor. Not only were they willing to have their work inspected they flat out refused to bend the rules. That told me everything I needed to know.
