  $500 down the drain for two red eye crocodile skinks. The owner shipped them out on a Friday and they had to sit at ***** until Monday with no way of getting to them. They both died shortly after, explained my frustration to the owner but it was automatically flipped on me even though I already keep them in my collection ??. spend your money else where dont waste your time with this place!!

  We ordered two ********* skinks and paid online. The company did not answer our questions. They shipped out the animals. We asked for two females, but they sent a male and a female. They boxed them from their distributor at 7:00 p.m. in ********, **, and they were delivered about 14 hours later by *****. We videoed the unboxing. I wasn't upset about the method of boxing them using Styrafoam to protect them. I wasn't upset that they used paper to cushion them further, but they put both in the same mesh bag, and they could have used two. BOTH animals were disabled. Yes, they were advertised as being wild-caught, but they were *********** had a huge ***** in the top of her head from a previous incident. Most likely from being picked up by a bird. It healed independently, but the skin was infected and discolored. She's OK, but not pleasing to view. The other one is male and missing his entire left hand. The bone was exposed when it happened (an expert looked at it today), and the skin naturally encased it while healing. It was at least a two month old injury; and they did not tell us this when they shipped the animals to us.We're OK with disabled animals, but the lack of transparency is critical. I will NOT buy anything from them now that I've read all of their bad reviews.

  They have nice animals but customer service is the worst i have ever experienced .It's flat terrible.They sent me the wrong turtle I ordered and I decided to keep it not to mention it was about 30$ bucks cheaper that what I ordered.They never even credited my account.

  I've had excellent customer service and excellent animals at the best prices from this distributor. They also claim to be a breeder and I have no reason to doubt that. I've seen a lot of negative stuff about this distributor but that's in the past and in the last 18 months that I've been dealing with them I've had a great experience. I hope this helps.

  Why are these people still a functioning business? They are no better than a puppy mill from the 80's. The animal I ordered came stuffed into a tiny cloth sac stuffed into a tiny box and squeezed in tighter with styrofoam. It was covered in f**** and what I can only surmise is vomit. We cleaned it up only to realize that it clearly had a serious respiratory infection. We made an appointment to go to a vet who handles exotics but low and behold the thing died last night the night before the appointment. When I sent a message concerning the issue I was having the response was condescending, rude, and downright unprofessional. Wish I could give less than a star or a negative star. Next stop the **** webstite.

  I have purchased several turtles and emerald **** skinks through there website Americanreptiles.com all of the animals have arrived on time and healthy. Had bad experiences with other online companies but ******* with American Reptile Distributors has helped me with care questions and feeding tips time and time again.

  I have made several purchases online over the past two years from these folks at ARD.I recently got to meet them in person at the ******* National Breeders Expo. Another great experience and was nice to put a face to the name. Picked up a hypo redfooted tortoise there and have to say its now my favorite tortoise. Thanks ARD

  Ordered two albino sliders. When they arrived they were completely dried out they were shipped in what I guess was (wet at one time) paper towel. One died after about a month . Sent several emails but no response. horrible company would never consider buying from them again.**********

  This company sent me the wrong animal. I ordered a female jumping spider, they sent a male. I messaged and emailed several times and they never responded back to me.

  Terrible business. They sent me a very dead turtle and had the gall to tell me it was alive! They said it wouldnt die in that position. When I told them it was in that same dead position for days with no movement, they ignored me. When I sent sad pictures of the week long dead turtle in the same position, they sill ignored me. So, its not just incompetence, they are just dishonest and unethical. The few times they responded were all via email as they dont answer the phone and the voicemail box is full. Looks like they respond to negative reviews faster than they do their phone or email.
