    Always top notch. Dr. R**** and his team are so thorough. He is a great educator and truly cares. He makes great recommendations and always guides patients towards what’s best! The office always has a friendly, small town feel, but with up-to-date expertise and state of the art equipment! Highly recommend!

    The receptionist at Wisner Family & Implant Dentistry does not know how to interpret insurance "explanation of benefits" (EOBs) effectively. Therefore, she told me I needed to pay an additional $50.00 when I checked out. So, I did not pay the $50.00. She sent me a copy via email of that EOB. It was evident that I had paid the $50.00 deductible. Knowing she did not fully understand this EOB, I sent the dentist a letter. The next time I was in his office for teeth cleaning (8/2/23), I asked the dentist if his receptionist had any insurance experience when he hired her. As I suspected, he said, "No." Subsequently, I strongly suggested that he provide her with some training in insurance. Unfortunately, he did NOT seem open to my REASONABLE suggestion.
    Second, after the dentist was done cleaning my teeth, he said he was going to put some fluoride solution on my teeth. When I got up to the check out counter, the dental assistant said I owed them $94.00. I was shocked. She said that was because my insurance did not cover the fluoride treatment which was $47.00 for me and $47.00 for my wife. I was rather upset about this charge for three main reasons. First, the dentist did not tell me the fluoride treatment was not covered by insurance. Second, he did not tell me there would be a cost for this fluoride treatment. Third, I believe $47.00 for a fluoride treatment that took him one to two minutes to perform is "highway robbery"! Even if an 8 ounce bottle of fluoride solution costs him $200.00, charging $47.00 to shwab on probably 1/4 of an ounce is unreasonable. To me, this appears to be a "money making" treatment. I believe charging such a high amount for this treatment and not telling the patient ahead of time, is very inconsiderate of the dentist. He needs to think more about the financial situation of most of his patients. Most are NOT independently wealthy. Most of us do not have the income of a dentist. My wife and I are retired.
