    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wish I could give them no stars. On 4.24.24 our whole basement flooded. This company was recommended by the Service One plumber who fixed the pipe that burst. They were understanding and mitigated the problem immediately. Numerous contractors were employed by D&R, each did excellent work but we never knew for sure when they would show up as promised. In February 2025 we began putting things back where they belonged only to discover that several more books had been damaged when they threw them all in plastic bags. Finally in March 2025 when it had been over a month since they would return my calls and with the wall still not receiving a final coat of paint in the stairway, we gave up. We got what the insurance company owed us. D&R is on their own.

    Service One provided a plumber who recommended D& R Restoration when he realized the damage we had from the leak. Keenan came out the next day, Thursday, accessed the problem and said they could start Monday. No one came Monday. We called and were told they had a start date of Tuesday. No one showed up or called until Friday saying they would be there in the afternoon. There were at least 5. Darin came by and said there was more damage then originally thought. All the tile on the walls and shower had to be taken out-a much bigger job. At the end of the day, we were told their truck had a flat tire and they would come Saturday or Monday to pick up the equipment and waste. We could get to the toilet but no where else in the bathroom. On Thursday we’d had no phone calls returned. The insurance adjuster kept in contact to see how the job was going. We told him the communication problem and they had not been out again. He said not acceptable. He provided several companies that were reputable. One came out the day we called. We left 4 msgs telling D & R we had people coming out that afternoon and his equipment would be moved to the front yard. Since then, we have heard several poor ratings from others. DON’T use this company.

    D & R came out promptly after a phone call early September. They immediately started water repair- they demolished our bathroom and cut a hole in the ceiling. We signed a contract for the full repair and restoration. After the first part of the job they completely ghosted us - they did not return repeated phone calls, text messages, emails for an entire two months. Then out of no where they called us and demanded they get paid and wanted to stop by that day to pick up a check. They never came back to complete the rest of the project. It is the middle of December and we still don't have a completed project. They have been paid for the part they did complete.

    D & R Water Restoration was recommended by our Serbice One home warranty. Initially the owner Darin Hobbs was very attentive. He came out to our home very quickly to assess the situation. He brought out a team to begin mitigation the next day. This is when the problems came in. His team which consisted of around 6 men. At least 4 of them remained in the car the majority of the day. I was told that mitigation would be completed around 3pm. They didn't leave my home until after 5. I informed Darin what his employees did all day, he apologized and informed us that he fired a few of them after he found empty shooter bottles in the company car. After mitigation was complete we waiting for insurance to be worked out. D&R claimed that they were going to send out someone to clean up the site. After many attempts to complete the service they never showed up. Insurance was completed in about a week. D&R was paid mitigation and we were waiting for rebuild. After many attempts to communicate about rebuild we never could get anyone on the phone or solid information by text. After a MONTH of no communication Darin asked his wonderful employee Ben to call me to inform that they weren't able to do the job. This caused us delay for rebuild. This project is still not complete due to the need to find a new contractor. The total time since first contact is 7 weeks. We have been living without a whole bathroom, a hole from the upstairs bathroom to our kitchen below. The carpet torn out in the main living room. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are terrible with following up and completing the job. I have a copy of the original contract. D&R Water Restoration does not care about their customers. They care about fast payout of insurance money and nothing else!!!

    Eliana, I am sorry if you feel like our communication has not been up to par with your standards. On July 24th, we started mitigation at your property. Unfortunately, some employees were not ideal that day. We apologized via phone call and text message right away once informed that day to you and your husband for any inconvenience, and then the owner, Darin, personally went to the property to oversee and finish the mitigation job at your property that day until completed. Dates when our team were in communication with you and/or your spouse: July 24th, 25th, 28th, & 31st. August 7th, 8th, 9th, 12th, 15th, 20th, 28th. We never went a month without speaking to you nor your husband. Unfortunately, our company did not feel that we were a good fit to do your putback and respectfully declined on August 28th.
