    Wistar started off as reputable. October 2021 we moved in for 750$ monthly. By January of 2022 we had several interactions with Wistar as in fixing holes in the wall, doors lights bathroom ceiling and living room ceiling leaking which they did not come to evaluate for 3 days. Then came time to renew our lease and we responded a month in advance to no avail. We had the choice of continuing our current rent or pay 950$ which really was 1069$.EXCUSE YOU WISTAR. so after struggling to pay 4x what initially was we moved in June. Never tried to reconcile the rent to the correct amount even after we sent copies of the emails..SMH..

    Tamara - I appreciate your time to submit a review here. I know that we have been discussing matters of your prior place of rent when you reached out to me yesterday to ask about balance owed. I was able to assist you at which time I also explained that we no longer serviced this address for management purposes. As for matters that happened back in October of 2021 - I'm not able to speak of them directly as I was not part of the company at that time, for this was with prior company ownership for the management company was sold in May of 2022. It's difficult to understand how you paid "4x what initially was" per your statement beginning at $750.00 monthly & leaving paying $950 - not sure what you mean by "which really was 1069$". When in fact at the time of move in you signed a lease for $795.00 per month rent with a month-to-month term in the lease for the amount of $954.00 if that was the route you wished to take. However, it shows you did have additional charges that you signed documents for to add to the above cost of your monthly rent. I'm more than happy to discuss this matter with you further as I can go back to get all the signed documents you agreed to at time of move in regarding the charges along with all charges on your account for fees, payments, etc.

    Not impressed with Wistars inability to respond to any emails or phone calls. However, it sounds like they have difficulty keeping staff (shocker) so... Move out date was 2/1/2023 (had to remind them the day after moving out and I'm fairly certain they still don't have our new address in their system). Proceeded to send us an email itemizing all of our final charges. For one Wistar, our ending rent was $745 (not $625) like you claimed it was. As far as the charges go, full top to bottom paint will be needed (double coat to seal cigarette staining) & drywall damages in kitchen and bedroom = $1,250? For a 500 sq. ft. unit, one drywall damage in the bedroom, oh and double coat since it smells like cigarette smoke from the neighbor next door.. not my husband and I who have never touched a cigarette in our lives? I think not.. Replacing ALL mini blinds or just the ones in the bedroom? Which are, at most, $30 not $50. Carpet cleaning is going to cost $150 for the 100 sq. ft. bedroom? Which happens to be the only carpeted area of the unit. Unit needs deep cleaning top to bottom/appliances need deep cleaning, just like they did the day we moved in (and we have proof of that as well). Considering the cleaning company that Wistar uses charges a minimum fee of $200 for a 1,000 sq. ft. home, I'm sure that they didn't charge $250 for a 500 sq. ft. apartment:) I simply asked for proof of receipts/cleaning service fees and they couldn't be bothered to even respond to me with that information (not the first time). There are plenty of other reviews on every platform of people detailing their experience with this company, some so much worse than mine. We rented from them for (almost) two years and in that two years, we dealt with so much headache with having to repeatedly reach out to them for them to even respond to a simple email. After dealing with several ignored requests (look at the google reviews), we're thankful to have been able to break our lease early.

    No human contact. Have personal information of mine you wont give back. Wont let me delete my application or account. Keep texting from different numbers & no one answers phone calls or calls back. Looked through the emails & the company responses on here seems to me possible phishing.
