    Northridge Heights - Lincoln
I was a loyal and good tenant for many years, Never was there a complaint about me, Yet the first opportunity that CIP Due to a misunderstanding, They gave Gave me my 60 day notice.
I realize the misunderstanding occurred afterwards and called and spoke to Kelsey the assistant property manager, and she assured me that it was just a misunderstanding and not to worry about it. 30 minutes later showed up telling me for the safety of the employees they’re asking me the tenant to vacate.
I admitted my fault, but the description of how it occurred was false, and no one has given me the opportunity after my initial phone call to explain exactly my point of view what transpired.
    It was clearly a power-play
    employee versus tenant scenario
Again, I was not given a chance to explain as Josh the property manager said we’ve talked it over with our attorneys, and they made the decision without even an opportunity for the tenant which is myself to share my side of the story.
It was clear and obvious when the maintenance guy came in. I recognized him.
Some other person that I never have met before nor have I seen wanted to walk in. She clearly expected to continue walking in, and I put my arm up and she walked into My hand which startled her and clearly caught her offguard. Once I touched her shoulder, I put my hands down and And kept saying I’m not trying to make this a big deal, but I do not know you therefore I am not allowing you in my apartment.
By the time everything was done, the maintenance guy was like OK I’m done and they left
I admitted I was wrong for stopping her but the way it was described and written in the lease “eviction” was not accurate.
I have tried via the website, calling numerous times to discuss this and clear the matter up before I leave…. And yet I am being told he’s not available nor do I get any reply.
I will not recommend this place to anybody.
They were judge and jury before allowing the tenant a chance to explain.

Moved into The Helen, Omaha, into an unclean apartment. Photos included in my Google review under Brandi. Then I had a package stolen and after talking to neighbors, this is common. Management's solution is to create a mail room in the next year that will remain unmonitored, providing access to the same folks in the building stealing packages. Then when I reached out to have the seal in my washing machine replaced due to visible mold that wouldn't scrub off, it took 4 days to get maintenance out to take a photo of the model (something I could have sent) and another four days to install. Just for them to run a cycle without wiping the visible mold from the door, essentially baking the mold into the new seal. Management refuses to provide real answers, make things right and now even respond to me. Do not rent from CIP if you want to be respected by and receive service from the people you give $1,500/mth+ to.

I lived at Highland View Apartments and had a lot of problems with the neighbors so I was very excited to move here. Highland wanted me to call them when the neighbors were making noise and that was all the time. They let the kids run up and down the hall at 6am. The parents and kids would just scream. Unfortunately the person that was supposed to live with me left and I could not afford this place by myself and I didn’t want to get in to something I could not afford.
So I called and talked to them, they kept my $600 deposit and I understand that. They also charged me a month rent and I never moved in because of that I can not afford to get a new apartment. They charged me $1600 and took my $600 deposit. I lived at the other property for a year and never missed rent. I kept my place nice and clean. I lived by myself and never made any problems.
These apartments are okay, very overpriced for what you get. I don’t know if I would recommend CIP properties because they will take all your money. Oh and no one will call you back from the main office. I have been calling and I have left messages. I just need some help getting into another place.

On October 8, 2022 after almost 3 years renting at ****************** managed by (Commercial Investment Properties, Lincoln, NE) I received an email that stated I was in a building that had been designated non-smoking since the day we moved in November 22, 2019. CIP admitted a mistake was made in the original lease of November 22, 2019. That lease did allow smoking as did the renewal of the lease on November 10, 2020.

On December 9, 2022 we renewed the lease. We had lived at *********** for 2 years so when my significant other asked and was told there were no changes in the terms of the lease we believed the CIP representative....we signed the lease extending the term for 6 months. On May 2, 2022 we extended the lease for an additional 12 months even though apartment is dated, old appliances, fixtures, poor maintenance, etc. only because they allowed smoking.

In short when I explained on October 8, 2022 that there was a mistake we could smoke...I was informed that the lease was changed to non-smoking with the renewal on December 9, 2021 and again in the renewal lease of May 2, 2022. Sure enough buried in the 31 page lease on the back page of the "Liability Addendum" was a "No-Smoking Addendum". LET THIS BE A LESSON! THERE ARE UNSCRUPULOUS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANIES OUT THERE!

On October 10, 2022 I suggested a compromise to either be moved to a smoking apartment or move up the expiration date of the lease.

The following is the partial response from CIP (Commercial Investment Properties) on October 10, 2022: As I stated with you on the phone your building has been non-smoking before you even moved in, this was something that we missed and we do apologize for that. We understand that this is a big deal for you guys as smokers. Regardless of that, you both did sign the lease so you are assuming responsibility of what you did sign. If you guys do choose to leave, you will be responsible for a break lease/buyout as this was signed within your lease renewal
