They are super nice and professional but then you get the bill. Most people call them in a time of need as they have a home disaster that they need help and have no other help or resources. They come in and spend over and hour making sure you sign everything to assure them they will get paid with the most outrageous fees I have ever heard of! But you cannot understand the realm of it when they come to help clean it up. They do deecent work & take a lot of pictures and I had used them during regular business hours 1 man for 12-15 hours at most. 2 fans and a dehubidifier for 5 days. He left over weekend because he didnt want to work. They rely on insurance paying so they do some serious prise gouging. The first bill came in at 12,000....yes that is $12,000.00. then the said it was a mistake (code error) when i said it was robbery and now it is $6,188.06, Coincidence that one other review said it was double as well. They rely on insurance to pay it and basically and if no one questions the bills they get paid. It is dispciable to take advantage of people in time of need! I have the bills to share and e mails.

Restoration 1 of Winston-Salem cleaned up a spillage of about six gallons from a sink in my home in August of 2022. I retained them because they were recommended by my plumber, *********** ********. Although I had sponged up most of the surface water by the time they arrived, water had damaged carpeting, two bookshelves, and the baseboard of part of the room. Restoration 1's workers came right away to see what would need to be done. They mobilized quickly, deployed fans, a dehumidifier, and an air purifier, and expeditiously emptied the two (large) bookshelves into 16 boxes that they bought at **** *****. When they finished up, two days later, they cleaned the area before they left. I am happy with the final result. However, I am not happy to have been charged $3,509 dollars for service that my insurance agent estimated would have cost less than half that. Even after the adjuster emailed Restoration 1 with a detailed set of objections, the original charge of over $4000 came down only slightly. I am not reassured to learn that, by Restoration 1's own admission, the original bill charged me for too many hours of labor, and classified the water as dirtier than it was (Category 3 instead of Category 2). (This classification resulted in extra work having been done to "mitigate" microbial contamination.)
