We closed on our house and had paid this firm for the closing plus $50 for sending us the house proceeds via ****** Instead of sending the proceeds overnight, they sent the check to us via ***** The ***** didn't arrive the Monday before Thanksgiving, 2023 we couldn't get ahold of anyone since they were closed for the WHOLE WEEK of Thanksgiving. When they returned on Monday after Thanksgiving, they couldn't find the ***** number and said it must have been sent via ***** This check was for over $1M that they put in regular mail! They agreed to then wire it to us that day (which they originally refused to do saying it wasn't their standard practice, hard to believe). We received the money 7 full days after the official close date on the house, costing us over $1,000 in lost interest. With the money now in our account, I requested they reimburse us for the lost interest (7 days at 4.9% interest on $1.089M). The firm asked for us to verify the interest rate of the account it would have gone into. I sent this info via email, proving what our interest rate was and the calculation I used for the lost interest. They did not respond via email. 5 business days later, we received a $400 check from them, saying they were reimbursing us for their services in the closing of our house, marked as 'consideration'. Their bad business practice cost us $1,000 in lost interest that this firm would only pay us $400 as 'consideration'. Emails requesting the balance since just after Thanksgiving, 2023 have yet to be answered (today is Jan 17, ****). Very poor business practice and even worse customer service. I am adamant that ************* pay us the remainder ($600)! Had they sent us the money via ***** as per our signed contract, we would have made over $1,000 in interest that week. Sincerely,***************************
