DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This company is prompt to respond to your inquiry, but after you sign their agreement & give them money theyre almost impossible to reach. My builder completed the virtual inspection and everything passed, then Western Carolina says it will be ANOTHER 8 to 12 weeks. After 12 weeks came and went, we started leaving messages again with no response. Finally, when we did speak with someone they said they were having a problem getting installers. Apparently, Western Carolina doesnt even have employees perform the installation, they hire third party installers. The owner of the company said if we could wait another month she could save us $1,000, but if we had to have it sooner it would cost us more. I decided to wait, at this point whats another month? At the end of the next month, basically two months after making the decision to wait to save $1,000, they send us a new agreement thats $2,000 more than the original agreement. Wed had enough, we just wanted our money back, so we could find another company to install the elevator. Western Carolina then tells us we have to pay a restocking fee. Weve now HIRED AN ATTORNEY to *** this JOKE OF A COMPANY and weve found another company to complete the installation. The new company came out onsite and inspected what had already been completed and passed by Western Carolins virtual inspection. Upon completion of the inspection, we learned there were several things Western Carolina had my builder do that wasnt to code. Now, my builder has to make changes to fix what Western Carolina told him to do. Although I wish I already had my elevator installed, I thank God Im washing my hands of Western Carolina Elevators. With the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE weve received, I could only imagine how bad their service wouldve been after the sale. Especially, if they dont actually employ the people that do the installation or repairs. Theres more I can say, but I think *** said enough. YOUVE BEEN WARNED!

I paid $10,000 deposit after insisting they come on-site and inspect/ measure to ensure the elevator would fit. Shortly afterwards they said it would not fit and there is a $3000 restocking fee. There was nothing in the contract I signed that mentioned a restocking fee and additionally they said nothing will be ordered until the final inspection was complete. Its been over 18 months since I paid deposit and won a small claims court filing but they still refuse to refund my money.

Good afternoon ****, once the cancellation agreement is signed, we will promptly refund your deposit. The small claims court filing was dismissed in January. We are not holding your money, as soon as you sign the cancellation agreement, we will refund your deposit. This is standard business procedure.

We contracted with this company last May 2022 for an Elevator for a new home we are building. We have paid over $20000 for nothing. We have tried for over 7 months to contact these people for installation and have never received a call back. We are moving in 2 weeks and have a big hole in the middle of our house. This is a total scam based on the other complaints I am reading on the BBB website. We now have no choice but to file suit for our money back plus interest plus any difference on a new elevator order from someone else.

Hi Steven, I checked with my team and they said they have been communicating with you since your deposit was paid in 2022. I was informed you reached out on 5/23/23 that you were ready for installation, however, you failed the virtual inspection because you are lacking your disconnects needed for installation. Paige reached out on June 1st, 2023 to see if you had gotten these disconnects up. Please let her know if this has been completed, so we can then get you scheduled for installation once you are completely ready. Thank you.
