AAmco should be investigated. I took my car in because of shuddering and hesitation of the transmission. I spoke to **** and he said the Dianostic fee would be free since I brought it in. It turns out that he wanted me to pay over a thousand dollars just to dissemble and inspect to move forward. This is deceptive. Why should a customer have to pay all that money just for a diagnosis. I never got a written printout of the Free diagnostic or the finding. **** didn't tell me the free diagnostic was external and not internal. What a scam.

**************** dropped his car off for the free external diagnostic service. we performed the diagnostic and reported to ****************, we found that the transmission was making noise and the transmission shutters on in 3rd gear. we explained that at this point we needed to remove and disassemble the transmission to determine what was causing the noise and the shutter. the labor to do so would be $1095.00 + tax and would go towards the overall repair, but if he didn't want to fix it, we would reassemble the transmission and install in back in the vehicle. the next day a woman called and was upset because she said **************** told her I was charging $1200 for the diagnostic. which was untrue. I explained to the woman the same thing I told ****************. they picked the vehicle up and never once asked for a printout. I would have gladly made them a copy of what our diagnostic report.

These guys are scammers. I took my vehicle in for a leak. They told me that the transmission was over fill and may have caused more damage and it would be $1200 for them to remove the transmission to have a look at it. I agreed only to find that they didnt tell me anything abt the transmission itself besides it needed be replaced and my $1200 was just for them removing it and putting it back together. I had them remove it so they could tell me what was going on with the transmission. I called **** and ******* and they both agreed that I should receive an itemized report for $1200. I will not patron here again.

Terrible experience. The transmission was replaced on my 2016 Chevy Silverado. After the install, I had the vehicle inspected by a local Chevy dealership for trade-in evaluation. They brought to my attention several discrepancies to include missing hardware, hoses not reconnected, gouged metal components (poor workmanship), shutter/skip at > 55 mph, and several fluid leaks after the transmission was replaced. All of these issues were documented, and pictures taken to show Aamco Staff. Aamco staff ensured me that they would correct the issues. The truck had to be brought back to the shop two additional times and still had a significant leak coming from an area that they had disconnected and reinstalled. I was told that I would have to pay out of pocket for the additional repairs despite it being a component that was part of the transmission replacement procedure. Bottom-line, USE SOMEONE ELSE, there is an integrity issue with this business and our hope is that others see this and do not make the same mistake we did.

We replaced the transmission on Mr b truck and test drove it after the install and reprograming from the dealership. At that time we did not experience any shuttering. Mr b picked the truck up and drove it 30+ miles to wilson to the dealership where he had already sold the vehicle. He did not say anything about a shutter at that time. Once the dealership inspected the truck, is when the shutter appeared. WHen mr b brought the truck back we did experience a small shutter and was taken care of with a small adjustment. There was a fuel line that was popped out of the bracket. we took care of the line being out of the bracket. The dealership also told Mr b that we did not replace a bypass valve that was supposed to be replaced on certrain vehicles and mr b truck did not fall under that category. so we did not replace the vavle as an added expense for no reason. The leaking he is refering to is the transfer case and rear differential and we brought that to his attention. we took him to the truck while it was on the lift and showed him what was going on. only when the dealership complained about that did it become a problem for mr. b
