I would not recommend purchasing a puppy from I****. We purchase a Malshi puppy from Mr. I**** and ended up with vet bills that were more than the cost of the puppy. Mr. I**** takes responsibility for NOTHING and blames every issue on the new owner. We did not cause the puppy to be full of 2 different parasites that left him VERY sick. It has been a nightmare and stressful for our family to say nothing of what our poor Toby has gone through. Buyer beware.

We are truly sorry that this puppy did not do well after going home. Like most other businesses, our happy customers outnumber the unhappy ones 500 to 1, yet only angry people will give up time to leave a review and attack another. This puppy had never had any type of abnormal health issue while in our care and did well with no issues from birth. What a coincidence that he had the first health problems in his life 3 days after you started caring for him! We typically don’t have these kinds of issues occur in our puppies because we try to educate every family about caring for their puppy and following instructions, since tiny puppies are a very fragile living thing. This is what that 15-minute speech you received in the driveway was all about, yet you seem to not remember the details. 40 years in business here has taught us that a few buyers will not follow instructions and maybe can’t retain and remember details. As a result of this, every doctor, lawyer, vet, or any other professional person who deals with public has a few negative reviews unless they reinvent their business or hire a reputation clean up service. Science has repeatedly proven that humans and ALL adult dogs are asymptomatic carriers of these parasitic protozoa, and that puppies born to moms already dewormed/treated with anti-protozoal drugs are still born with these protozoa even under sterile laboratory conditions. The presence of protozoa in a puppy fecal smear does not always mean that the breeder did not do a good job. The presence of excess giardia cysts in puppies is often not the cause of the problem but are present as the result of other related problems. Protozoa get stronger whenever the immune system of the host gets weaker. The giardia bloom in your puppy was possibly caused by a vaccine reaction, but most likely due to handling stress and not eating properly due to having his feeding schedule interrupted. Our records show that your pup weighed 4 lbs, 1 oz at point of sale, and vaccine reactions do not often occur at this weight. Puppy buyers who do not properly follow care and feeding instructions can bring stress to puppies almost instantly which can cause these issues, and the problems normally start on the third day after going home. 100% of buyers, and vets who don’t properly understand the relationship between protozoa and their host are quick to blame the breeder so they can justify charging big bucks to unsuspecting pet owners. In order to differentiate between what is preexisting, and what is stress related and the buyer’s fault, we give every buyer a warranty that says you can get your puppy examined immediately after purchase and return the puppy if there is a serious issue, which you did not do. Giardia cysts are common in baby puppies of this age, but the fecal smear of your puppy did not present life threatening levels at our wellness exam, and the meds we gave you from our vet should have eliminated those quickly if you hadn’t refused to use them. Puppies must build their own immune response, after which they become an asymptomatic carrier of giardia like their parents before them. It is impossible to eliminate this with meds or vaccines. We can medicate and vaccinate more carefully to help control this during the time when the pup’s immune system is weak, but we only block the shedding of cysts and Mom remains a carrier even after being treated. Why did you not take the pup to the vet on the first day as instructed so you could be sure that no problem with the pup was our fault? You did not even call us. Why did you not use the meds that our vet had already given the puppy to prevent this from happening? The syringes that we sent home with your puppy for free contained the same meds that your vet sold you for hundreds of dollars after you refused to follow instructions. I am very sorry you had this problem. However, the real cause of this protozoa bloom and related problem was stress. I tried to be your friend and you would not let me. If you had called for advice and were still not willing to follow instructions, I could have referred you to a vet that would have helped your pet for a fraction of this price. Best wishes
