  The services rendered to me by Safe and Sound were subpar given the cost of the service. A move that should have taken ***** hours with 5-6 people took just shy of 18 hours. During the move, I witnessed movers both on their phones m, playing with a basketball hoop, and standing idly and talking to each other. One of the team leaders admitted that the team was slower than they should have been and another one confirmed for me that a part of the job would take 3 hours; that part of the job took over 5 hours. The company has been unwilling to reduce the charges as a result of the poor service. I was charged over $6,700 to move a ***** sq ft house to a new house 40 mins away. Additionally, as a result of the move, my home incurred damage, multiple items from my move were lost or damaged due to careless packing and I also found trash (finished drink bottles from the movers breaks) packed with my items. Lastly, multiple areas of my home were missed and unpacked, resulting in me having to return to the house multiple times to retrieve items.

  They arrived late that morning. Their late arrival and extremely slow wrapping delayed the delivery to after the delivery window I had set. They arrived at the delivery location as lunch was ending and every person with a ****** or wheelchair was waiting in line to use the only elevator in the facility. This elevator was the excuse to increase the bill by over 50% extra.Earlier, at the time they should have been there, the elevator would have been available. One table was missing until I asked where it was, then someone went down and got it. No furniture/boxes were inventoried/labeled. Unprofessional in every respect.A damaged TV table was allotted $45 for repair because the extra insurance, which was clearly requested, was not ticked off on the paperwork. My mother is over 90 years old and didn't notice.Their surprising final bill was more than 50% higher than their initial verbal estimate.What I hoped would be an easy move for my elderly mother, was very tiring and upsetting.I am not surprised that they are not members of BBB.(They "asked" for a tip; I felt compelled and gave them a tip, although they didn't deserve it.)I do not recommend this mover.

  This moving company is the worst. They did not tape the power cord to my tv so I have to look through all my household goods in hope to fine it. They broke several things, A king ******* set that I have moved several times without a scratch one unreplaceable k*** can not be replace. The unpack your household goods like they are putting out garbage. I told the company ***** day one I had a budge and all the while they assured me I would not go over it but at the end I paid over $1000 over.. The company is just not who you would want to handle your household goods. They pack you nice undamaged items but unpack many damage items.
