Their technician knew I had a refrigerant leak but either couldn't locate it or didn't want to. Instead of offering a proper repair, his advice was to "take my chances" by adding some refrigerant and Leak Stop to the system. He admitted it might just leak out again but left the choice to me, a homeowner without the tools or training to properly evaluate the risk. Then, they proceeded to sell me four pounds of R-410A refrigerant for $610 an outrageous markup of over *****% based on standard supply pricing. To make it worse, they charged me an additional $346 for Leak Stop a product that reputable HVAC companies rarely use because it can permanently damage ************** you might guess, every bit of refrigerant leaked out that very night. My family was left sleeping in a hot house, and I was out over $1,100 for nothing.True professionals don't put their customers in scammy situations like this. A reputable **** company would have located the leak, recommended a real repair, and actually stood behind their work not dumped refrigerant and sealant into a leaking system just to collect a huge invoice.I will never use this company again, and I strongly urge anyone reading this to find an honest HVAC provider. Beware you deserve better.

Were sorry to hear that youre unhappy with your recent service, but we want to clarify a few key points for the sake of transparency. Our technician fully explained the condition of your system, including the presence of a refrigerant leak and the risks associated with temporary solutions. You were informed that Leak Stop is not a guaranteed fix and that refrigerant may still leak out. After reviewing the optionsincluding the more extensive and costly repair to locate and fix the leakyou made the decision to proceed with the Leak Stop and recharge. This was done with your full consent and understanding of the risks involved. We share the same goal you do: to restore your home comfort safely and affordably. If the refrigerant did leak out that same night, we would have appreciated the opportunity to follow up and make things right. Unfortunately, we never received a call, email, or request for assistance after the visitjust this public review. We take pride in being honest and upfront with our customers. While no HVAC system is perfect and not all repairs are ideal, we stand behind the work we do and would have gladly worked with you toward a better solution if given the chance. If youre open to further discussion, were here to help. Please feel free to reach out to our office directly at ****************.Sincerely,** ******** Owner Cool Change ****************************
