Garrett from Sun Stopper initially displayed enthusiasm and reassurance when soliciting my business, but he quickly avoided responsibility as problems arose. I entrusted them with my $126,500 car for paint protection film (PPF) installation and window tinting. However, they caused significant damage, including: Stripping paint from the hood Misaligning one of the hood scoops Dropping a clip into the engine bay Removing factory-installed PPF that I specifically requested to be left intact Failing to apply vinyl wrap under the side mirrors Overstretching PPF on the front bumper, leading to air pockets Poorly installing the rear window tint, I discovered the paint damage myself and, when I questioned Garrett, he insinuated that my car had been in an accident! I had to persistently pursue him to acknowledge responsibility. When he finally agreed to repair the damage, the quality of the work was unacceptable. The body shop that did the work clearly made it a point to tell me and Garett that tape should never be put a silicone tubes. Being ignorant to that fact is not a defense Sunstoppers should know where tape can and cannot be placed on a car since they've done 1000's. Getting back to the repair, the paint on one side of the hood mismatches the other, and there's clear evidence of overspray. When I raised this issue, Garrett dismissively stated that it was now my problem. The silicone tubes on both sides were mismatched, and clear evidence of overspray was present. The quality of the work suggests that the body shop assigned a less experienced painter to my car, a far cry from their work on a LaFerrari. I had to repeatedly follow up with them. I expected to receive my car in the same condition as when I dropped it off. I also find it funny that Garett claims that what happened to my car is a rare event. But you do realize Sunstoppers screwed up 7 things on my order, 7! You're telling me that is a company that puts care in their workmanship? Yeah, right!
