we had window world replace a window in our bath 4 years ago and when we started painting our house this year we found a soft spot in our siding we removed the siding where the soft spot which was located directly below the window world window and found extensive rot and upon further investigation we saw how poor the installation was. The caulking that was placed along the seams of trim work was so thin that I doubt there was room for expansion and contraction that the house would do normally through the seasonal changes thus failing and leaving gaps between the trim and and the siding and the rain water getting in behind the siding. they also did not place a drip cap on the top of the window which they should have. They came to the house this morning 7/13/22 immediately denied it was any of there fault and tried to tell me that the replacement window was not at fault. I agreed and I told Chris (window world supervisor) it was the installation that is the problem not the window he still denied culpability. we parted ways and I went back into my house to get my briefcase and as I was leaving the house Chris was still on my property and proceeded to point out that I had no drip edge on my other windows I have a decorative drip edge over my other windows that are also protected by 15 inch soffit. I reminded him that these windows were not in question just window worlds. .....I'll just have to take this another step ....unfortunately

I understand your frustration and I hate this has happened but we do take picture of the install during and after completion for when instances like this occur. The initial call was that the window was not taped flashed but we supplied you with pictures showing it was and was then said to be a flashing issue. The window was caulked and installed correctly as the pictures supplied to you showed. We also see when we were at the house of water entering the siding above the window. Example the paint bubbling up. Caulk and painting is to be examined on a hose regularly and is the same with new or remodeled homes.
