This business no longer goes under the name Better in Colour, but now is under the name Teeth Whitening Center, ************, **. I would hope BBB gets the most recent info, as this is very outdated. Aside this, I would give Better in Colour, now "Teeth Whitening Center" in ************, **, a one star based on being signed up for an auto-renew policy without knowledge of and therefore not being able to cancel policy or even know of a cancel date. I only used this business two times, which in individual sessions would have cost about ******. However, due to this underhanded practice, have paid over ****** today. Refuses to return money, and even though no witnesses say they know I was told. I WAS NOT. normal link they sent phone didn't work, so behind the desk employee filled out and signed. Not a word.

*******, we are disappointed in your review of our business. *** was our business name from ********* until we proudly became Teeth Whitening Center. Our company would have liked the option to help you in resolving this matter but we were not given the opportunity verbally or by email. Small businesses thrive on reviews and we strive to maintain an optimum level of positivity. Our membership paperwork is extremely clear. In order to sign up for our membership, you sign our agreement which includes your credit card information. Within the paperwork , it is explained that this is a MONTHLY membership. Honestly, if it were not a MONTHLY membership, we would have no need for you to willingly submit/sign up regarding your payment information. Our membership agreement, along with our highly trained staff, explains this multiple times before, during and after sign-up. We feel you must have had trouble understanding this. We certainly feel we have all policies in place to service your membership needs. Your failure to communicate certainly seemed to be the issue. Cancellation of this membership involves a phone call, and submitting a cancellation form which is sent to you via phone/email. We received none of this from you until after your monthly payment was deducted . We can not help you, if we do not know your wishes. In regards to your visits, you determine how often you choose to utilize your membership. We do not monitor your daily visits or lack of. I want to encourage you to give businesses a chance to help you FIRST, before submitting a negative review. It is most appreciated when you elect to interact with a business in a professional manner.

As a business, we feel this consumer has mental health and cognitive understanding issues. She leaves numerous bad reviews for a number of businesses. It seems to be her hobby. The transaction she claims she had with our business did not occur in the manner she states.Unfortunate for us, she gets to choose to slander and seems happy to do so.

Honestly, does a ethical professional business respond like this? First I can't even believe BBB would allow personal attacks such as being mentally ill or cognitively declined. I am not even going to respond to that. I stand by my review 100% and assure you there is no slander here, at least not on my part. My profile on ****** reviews is readily available to anyone to see by simply going to the review I left for the "Teeth Whitening Center" in ************, **, and clicking on my profile pic which will bring you to my list of reviews, both good and bad, judge for yourself. Just the fact that a business would comment something like this might tell one all they need to know.

Update: As of 2/5/25 owner has received by certified mail 6 of my signatures from 2022 through to 2024, to show consistency. I have obtained a copy of this auto renewal form through by credit card company - It is NOT my signature, which is why a letter was sent. So now the owner knows for sure my review here was not slander and in fact someone there signed the agreement for me, assuring I could not read it. and STILL she refuses to return the money. Furthermore, as for not giving this business a chance to resolve before leaving a review here AND not canceling as of yet, that is 100% fiction. On 10/25/25 I received the following e-mail from owner: "Hi *******, This is ***** from Teeth Whitening Center. We sent you the Membership cancellation form for you and ***** ******* on 10/25/24 per your request. We have not received the cancellation forms back from you , but, I have already canceled you and Jasons memberships. No future payments will be drafted. Your memberships are still active until November 18th, 2024 and you are welcome to schedule appointments anytime ****************************** or call our Spa @ ************ to set an appointment. Leave a message if the machine answers and we can easily call you back ! Hope to see you soon!Best, STAFF at TWC"To which I responded: "Thank u. I had asked one of your staff to send me the membership auto renew paper work, as I did not sign anything that I can recall. Can u please send me this. I had no idea this was an auto renew. My intention was to buy one m9nth unlimited. Nothing more. This latest draft from my credit card is in dispute in this end. It is my understanding from the phone call that u are refusin refund. Understand this email is my attempt to get paperwork that was signed in agreement I have never seen this agreement. I would like a copy. Please confirm one way or another. Ty."The above messages and responses are literally copy and pasted here from e-mail of 10/25/2025. As you can see, the response is very dishonest. she canceled the contract on 10/25 but then wants to come on here and claim I haven't yet canceled it. And you can see on 10/25/2025, I responded with a dispute and yet she comes on here and claims she was not given a chance.

    Correction: e-mails from 10/25/2024 not 2025

I did give this business a chance to clear this up prior to writing a review. I called them on October 24, 2024, and spoke to them over the phone about a new charge of ****** on my credit card. They said I had signed an auto-renewal. I said I didn't remember signing anything and I was not aware, also told them a link was sent to phone but it would not open on my phone. I asked them to send me a copy of that by e-mail to which they agree; however, it never came. On October 25, 2024, I sent the following message by e-mail to the owner (to which she did not respond): "Thank u. It is my understanding from the phone call that u are refusinf refund. Understand this email is my attempt to get paperwork that was signed in agreement I have never seen this agreement. I would like a copy. Please confirm one way or another. *** "Since the original review, I have been able to obtain a copy of the autorenewal contract/form through my credit card company, and it is in fact NOT my signature! which I did send her proof of via certified mail and gave her 2 weeks (until 2/4/2025) to respond by sending my money back. I included six of my actual signatures as proof. As of 2/5/2025, she has chosen to not returned the money. This was sent certified mail with proof of receipt. Be very careful if you choose to patronize this business and I would suggest cash only. Also, don't go over your appointment time or let her re-apply anything extra thinking it is a favor to you or you won't pay for it because you didn't ask for it. You WILL be charged for it at the end whether it was her choice or yours.
