    Had to reschedule ride due to bus canceling. Then jammed my finger and had to go to ER. Attempted to reschedule again but was denied unless I were to pay again. Terrible service, especially considering I had to reschedule due to injury.

    Buyer beware. This business owner is combative. When a mistake was made on my daughters shuttle reservation, we called to adjust. She made for a Sunday, Hickory Hop booked it for Saturday. When we called, they said there were no spots for the date/time she had wanted to book and it had been booked for weeks. When I asked for a refund since they had booked it incorrectly, the owner said no. He then pitted my daughters word against his. She is responsible, had her calendar out and was careful about what day/time she wanted and adamant she booked correctly. He would not give a refund or even offer a credit for a ride during Christmas break. I am amazed that someone can run a business with these practices. My daughter said when she initially called to make the reservation he was even rude and short with her then. As a parent, it offers some peace of mind in knowing my college student is dealing with a responsible and ethical company. It ensures safety and well being for her. It is boggling to me that Hickory Hop is a customer driven service that has no regard for customer service, especially in a limited market where you have a golden opportunity to create a good reputation for college students and their families when they visit.You need to do better!

    In no way was our representative combative as stated. We have a policy of repeating the dates and times back to our customers when reservations are taken to ensure mistakes like this aren't made. We also call the day before to confirm that the dates and times are correct. If there is no answer, we leave a voicemail confirming the information. Had she attempted to make the reservation for the "correct" date, we would have been unable to book it since we had been full for weeks in advance. When we informed the customer of this, she is the one who became combative and defensive stating that her daughter couldn't have made such a mistake. We have been working with college students for many years and know to check and recheck their reservations for this very reason. Especially during the holidays.

    On the morning of Oct 16, 2022, shuttle arrived 20 minutes late going to ***************** from *****, **, putting ** at risk of being late for our flight. Driver drove recklessly on curvy roads, going through the mountains to get to Hickory, where we were to change vans to take us to *********. 35 mph speed limit and driver was at ******************. 55mph going up to 80 mph. We were all worried in the van. When we arrived at Hickory to change vans, we told the new driver about our experience and she said the other driver was very upset about a woman with all the luggage complaining. We were in the van with this woman and she said nothing to this driver. After arriving home, we called Hickory Hop to speak with a manager. This manager was also the dispatcher we spoke with the morning they were late. He could care less about how this driver drove. Something needs to be done about this company. They run a dangerous operation and could care less about others. We will never use them again. We also are calling the news channels to let others know.
