  After my stroke, I needed the help of a physical therapist and occupational therapist. Not only did they help me regain my motor control and balance, but they also counseled me on other challenges and encouraged me to work on my own for a quick recovery.

  My husband has many underlying medical conditions which made it even more difficult to get him mobile again after a stroke and fall. After weeks in skilled nursing and many visits to outpatient physical therapy with not much improvement, we tried Gaitway of Charlotte. ******'s medical knowledge outside of physical therapy was amazing and her understanding of our situation was comforting. ***** was assigned as his therapist and did an amazing job. Her patience, with a sometimes irritable patient, was beyond belief. Gaitway does not have a "one fits all" approach. It is completely customized to the patients needs and modified as needed. The vast network of providers assisted us in getting any equipment we needed. I would have never been able to do this on my own. Thank you ****** and *****.   My 88 year old mother lives at The Pines in a independent living apartment. She fell and broke her femur. After her hospital stay, she was sent to a health care rehabilitation facility. During the first few days of rehabilitation, she developed pneumonia and was sent back to the hospital. The doctor attending my mother in the hospital told me, my mother was old and should not go back to the rehabilitation facility. The doctor said she should go into a skilled care unit at The Pines and live out her life. My mother was adamant that she wanted to go back to her apartment and walk again. The doctor was very upset with me that I sent her back to rehabilitation and said that it was a big mistake .After two more short stays in the hospital ( other illnesses ), my mother went back to the Pines and was placed in the skilled care unit.At that time I was given the name of Gaitway.The person that recommended Gaitway said they had seen their therapist work miracles. ******* team worked diligently with my mother. *****, the physical therapist and ***** the occupational therapist worked tirelessly getting my mom back on her feet. Their constant encouragement and strategies worked wonders for my mothers strength.My mothers, desire and Gaitway care, professionalism, and knowledge made it possible for my mother to walk again and be back in her apartment.********* F Charlotte **

  My in home Physical Therapy was just what I needed after my hospital stay. I was able to have an evaluation almost immediately and ***** my therapist was at my door shortly. She was so efficient and timely keeping me informed what was going on. I was totally pleased with GaitWay Of Charlotte and would recommend them and ***** to any who need assistance.
