I'll start off by saying as I write this review, I'm sitting in a 79 degree office and have been for three weeks because the A/C (Installed and "serviced" by Charlotte Mechanical) still doesn't work. If you're in the pre-con stages, don't even let Charlotte Mechanical bid on your project. They are by far the worst mechanical contractor I have worked with. Want to meet dates on a schedule? Not a chance. Meet TCO dates? Never going to happen. Think things will change longer than a week once you put them on notice? Laughable. They will low ball during bidding process to get the work, and then drag their feet throughout the project. From the management all the way down to their installers...awful. I've never seen a sub fail inspections so their field "superintendent" would know what needed to be done. Steer clear of this contractor. Everyone that I know that has used them has said the same thing. Not sure how this company is still in business. When asked who my mechanical sub is, I'm actually embarrassed to say Charlotte Mechanical. Come buy out time on the next one, Charlotte Mechanical will not even be mentioned. If I could give a negative 5 star review, I would.

RUN from this place. Took 8 months for them to complete our install. They damaged the ceiling and it looks like the *** unit was just thrown in and no care to seal it to the ceiling to match what was there. Promised thermostat with bedroom sensor but final thermostat did not have that option. **** the manager said he didnt care if the company got a bad review.

We are sorry that your equipment change out was delayed due to the *** 2023 M1/SEER2 compliance update forcing all HVAC manufacturers to update all equipment in the **. That is unfortunately out of our control and nothing we could do to change it. As far as the ceiling damage yes we too make mistakes, but as per the phone call immediately the same day(6-5-23) informing you that we would hire a company to repair it asap at your convenience. The drywall company showed up (6-6-23) to verify materials and to ensure you we were taking care of our mistake. The thermostat and sensor, unfortunately with the equipment changes mentioned above. They no longer make a non-communicating version of the unit you purchased. The thermostat we installed for you is an upgraded thermostat that communicates with the equipment, and we left the original T10 w/room sensor we installed for you as a consultation due to this issue. The comment about not caring about a bad review was when you demanded we install a 20 SEER unit in place of the RA17SEER/RA16SEER2 you purchased. This also would have required an electrical circuit upgrade for the condensing unit. These two items would have been a combined cost of around 10k dollars to us as a company. This discussion occurred(8-26-23) when we realized that the 20SEER was the only unit available before we started the job. I am glad we have made all corrections for you today(6-6-23) and you have the drywall repairs for the entire mechanical room scheduled
