    Had a consult here for wisdom tooth to be pulled paid close to $300 for consult and 1 xray. After consult and scheduled my appointment I learned they accept my insurance. They refused to refund me the cost of that visit so I asked them to file a claim which I was told they would over a month later no word on claim. Also they called and moved my appointment saying the ** would be out of office on scheduled day and moved it 3 months out (I am in pain and expressed this) after moving my appointment so far out another person called and said at that date my insurance would no longer be accepted basically moved my appointment so I couldn't have it done and covered by my insurance so they were canceling that appointment now. I called back and said I would self pay to please reschedule as I was in pain and already paid for xray and consult. They stopped answering my calls and would return any of my phone calls. The office is never open when I try and go by. I assume that some kind of insurance fraud may be happening at this office and they were afraid of being caught as I mentioned talking to my insurance company about it as well as the state.

    We are disappointed to receive this complaint, as it contains several inaccuracies we would like to clarify.
    This patient was seen on April 15 for a consultation and a panoramic x-ray. She paid $280, not $300 as claimed. Prior to the visit, our team repeatedly asked whether she had insurance, and she stated that she did not. Based on that information, she was charged our standard self-pay rate.
    After the appointment, the patient contacted us and informed us that she had ******** coverage. As a courtesy, and despite the delayed disclosure, we submitted a claim to ******** on her behalf the same day she provided her insurance details. ******** approved and paid the claim. We then issued a refund of $276, which reflects the amount she paid minus the $3 ******** co-pay.
    At no point did we refuse a refund. The refund was processed promptly once the ******** claim was resolved.
    Regarding her surgery appointment: the procedure had to be rescheduled due to a change in provider availability. We offered the patient the next available date. However, that date would have fallen outside of our adult ******** participation period, which we clearly explained. As a policy change, our office is no longer accepting adult ********.
    We strongly deny any suggestion of fraud. We acted responsibly and in good faith throughoutby processing her ******** claim,issuing a timely refund, and clearly communicating changes to our participation status. Our office operates ethically and fully within applicable regulations.Adjustments to schedules, network participation, and limited office hours are not violations of any kind.
    We have done everything within our control to assist this patient appropriatelyincluding honoring her coverage, issuing a refund, and communicating openly. The patient remains welcome to seek care with another provider who accepts her ******** plan or proceed with self-pay treatment at a practice of her choice.

    Refund received may 14th. I recant my complaint about not being able to be refunded as there must have been protocol keeping it from being refunded the same day.
