We called in myself ************* to have a dumpster brought out the price discussed was $200 for the day & a $75 swap out this was suppose to be the total amount. We even asked if this included the dump fee(s) because we ended ** needing 2 dumpsters in total. It was confirmed they then invoiced ** for an outrageous amount triple what we discussed which included the weight per pound which was also never mentioned or discussed. Seriously dissatisfied as this was the first time we ever decided to rent a dumpster. As a business owner ourselves we would never not disclose any additional cost that could be acquired or even potentially inquired.

I spoke with ******* on 05/18/2023 and quoted 24 hours for $200 (2 tons or less), and then everything over 2 tons is actual tonnage (at the actual landfill charge rate). ******* asked for the delivery on 05/19/2023 - dumpster #**. ******* called later that afternoon, 05/19/2023, and requested a second dumpster (charged $75) because you had filled up #** (**** tons of waste/junk). We brought out dumpster #4 (**** tons of garbage/junk). The invoice indicates only $275, a 2-ton credit of $96, and the amount charged by the Harnett County Landfill ($48/ton - **** tons = $643.20). I have all documentation, including my notes, in my three-ring binder for every customer I speak with.

Myself, ********, and father were all in part of this conversation as the call was on speaker phone. I am not disputing the invoice or what you deem to be accurate. It may be true/accurate. Im sure that is the cost that is charged to everyone. I am disputing the discussion that was had and no where in that were these other cost included and/or potientially included. You never said it only includes 2 tons after which you will be responsible for each ton a $48/per ton. That in no part was said. If that was said in itself then it would be fair that you should mention a general tonage so anywhere between 3-6tons is a average weight capacity so your customers have at least a general idea of what to expect & can make there decision on that information and not on some what seemed to be a awesome investment at $275 which turned into over $800. However, you didnt say any of that. There was no explanation of any sort. I know we would not have had the dumpster if we knew this simple information that a business should disclose. Any cost that could be incurred. When doing business you should include any cost or potiental cost that your customer could have. Even leading with examples, so your customers know with certainty what they are getting.

On a further note, I only spoke with *******. I did not speak with the person who submitted the review nor their father. Landfills weigh the trucks full, then empty, and determine the hauling weight of the customer waste/junk. All of the detail was provided to the customer along with the invoice.

You were on speaker phone with all of us. Just unaware of the fact. ******** is my fianc and we agreed to split the cost of the dumpsters with my father as he had waste/trash in our yard as well. Hinge why we all took part of said conversation. Again Im not disputing what you charge or typically charge to everyone as a general rule of thumb. I am not disputing that what so ever. You are reintegrating these receipts and its all there, the cost and charges are all there but they are incorrect based on our conversation and failure to provide information. I am disputing the lack of providing the correct information to us. We were ALL under the assumption that the total cost would be $275 or we would not have got the dumpster. We would not have agreed to pay $822 we agreed to pay $275. Somewhere along the line the approach for how you present your business needs to be changed. Customers like ourselves need to know the what if factors. It would be very simple and easy just to state to your customers 2 tons is included in your service thereafter you will be charged $48/per ton and the average weight is between 3-6 tons. Im just giving an example because I dont know what the weights are or are not. Its important to provide proper information to customers so it can never be disputed in any manner. Just simply giving the proper information instead of none at all every bit of this could of been avoided because one we would not have got a dumpster and 2 if we did we would be in the know about what our potential charges could amount to.
