The worst hotel experience I have ever had and after nearly a month, this Quality Inn location has yet to resolve the issue and I cannot even get a reply. Their online booking system, Choice Hotels refuses to take any responsibility since the hotel locations are individually owned and operated (This was explained to me by Choice Hotels).
I booked the most expensive room in the hotel and the hotel downgraded my room prior to check-in for no reason. (No one even investigated the issue to figure out how/why this happened). I was understanding at first and even offered to stay in the downgraded room for one night if I could receive the room I booked for the remainder of my stay. No one could give me an answer as to if the room would even be available for the nights I booked it now. I was brushed off to the GM and stayed up the entire night (the room was so uncomfortable I couldn't sleep) But no one could advise me when he would even get there. I received different responses from different employees.
All members of staff I had the displeasure of interacting with were not only untrained but unprofessional at best. To quote the 3rd shift front desk clerk "Yeah, we're out of all our food" and this lovely quote from Barb on the 1st shift - "I don't know what you want me to tell you" when inquiring when the GM would be there since he is the only one you can discuss refunds with.
After finally getting to speak to the GM, he stated I would be receiving a full refund for my originally 3-night stay that turned into 12 hours. He only refunded me for the nights I did not stay. He has not replied to emails and Choice Hotels refuses to do anything.

I have attempted to arrange a 1 night stay on September 17, 2022, App State Football game day. The prices have quadrupled for that night. 75$ today, Tuesday to 269$. I have season tickets for the football games and am a Yoself Club member and live 3 hours away. I cannot afford to stay one night for each home game.
