I am rejecting this response because:

. I am rejecting this response because: They are not telling the whole truth. They say I didnt accept the discount. I did. I called as soon as they gave it to me and tried to pay it by credit card but I was told there was a cc surcharge which did away with the discount. I called my credit card. They told me that in ** you're not allowed to place a surcharge on these types of cc charges. I told them that I would be able to pay the $3600 towards the end of the month when I had it. I paid it on 1/3/25 but their 3rd party system for payment failed to take the payment from my credit union account. There are records of this. They're also incorrect when they say the $3600 was never discussed as full payment. The $3600 amount that I paid (discounted from $3875 to $3600) was discussed numerous times in emails from 1/3 to 1/15 when *** ******* from accounting said "A check is fine" in response to lots of discussions back and forth about the $3600 amount (see attached pdf). And they only quoted me for the 200 amp service. They make it look like I made the decision. If anyone benefited by the storm it's these companies. My wife works remotely. She had to go to ******* with our kids for almost a month because she couldnt work. We lost everything in our fridge and freezers and I had to live on my own without electricity or communications for a month. Were still struggling since the storm and Grigg Electric are refusing to budge an inch. Its a 7% of the total bill ($275) discount that they gave us and then accepted our payment and then went back and demanded that 7% discount.

hat I was talking to him) that he would give it to me for $3,600.I went to pay to find out that they charge a 3% surcharge fee if you pay by credit card. So I said to Jan whom I spoke with that I would wait until I had all the $3,600 At the start of January I had the money and I went to pay on their portal, You can see the conversation on the (Emails with Grigg, from the bottom of page 2 upwards) attachment. I told her that I was paying the $3,600 amount and had to go through their portal, cashier's check, etc to pay. She said a check was fine. The $3,600 amount was mentioned a few times back and forth and wasn't questioned by Jan.Since then she has sent us a letter threatening legal action. We're barely out of this storm situation, they're charging me more than double what the highest other estimate was and now they're threatening legal action.

I am rejecting this response because:

The reason for this complaint has nothing to do with our emotional distress. I was trying to contrast costs to residences with certain businesses benefiting from the storm. And, you are correct. I knew the cost of the job beforehand, and I knew it was high but said nothing. Afterwards I asked Grigg for a discount. I was hoping for 10, maybe 15%. They gave me a 7% discount and I paid it (the other 93%) in full.

I think it's great that Grigg are going to donate $500 to The **************. I'm not sure why they're doing that but I'm sure they'll honor it. I, on the other hand, like a lot of others, volunteered my time after the storm. I volunteered at the local ********************************** helping them with their communications network and at my wife's office downtown unloading and distributing food and I ran supplies to ************* Apartments.

Finally, I'm not trying to get the BBB to reduce an invoice. I'm trying to get someone with more influence than me to get Grigg to honor the 7% discount that they gave me. I have paid my invoice, less their 7% discount. That's all I'm asking for. No sympathy. No $500 donation. Great if they can do that.

Called for a quote and they said around $200. When I got the bill it was $503. The guy who came out assured me that I would not be charged twice. Also one of the lights does not work that they installed. He said he would take me to collections and there is no solution for deceptive business practices.

OK, so, I already talked to ****** last night after I noticed a bad ******** review. He has since taken that down. This was a situation of ** installing owner provided light. On the first trip the lights he bought didn't work. And so at a later date we went back to install the correct fixtures, which it sounds like one of them was bad. Either way, this situation is handled as I do not like bad reviews of our company, and we wrote him a check for the full amount of 501.90....

For a service technician to come out to your house 2 different times, and it only total 4 hours, and we installed the lights he provided. That is not a lot of money to leave these bad reviews. But again, I gave ****** a full refund so I think we're good now.

    Thanks
