I received mail from Kevin Combs claiming that he could provide me insurance for approximately $3,000 less than I am already paying. He did not answer the phone but his assistant did and during the quote she asked me if I would want the endorsement for water back-up in case the sewer or sumpump fails and floods my finished basement . I replied yes give me $50,000 of back-up coverage. She then went on to say this is for back-*** or when your bathroom pipes burst. I said that I was confused because every other policy I have ever had on any of my homes a pipe burst would be a covered peril under the dwelling policy limit and not a back-up endorsement. She proceeded to get angry with me then she hung up the phone. I would be concerned if I was Kevin Combs becuase he has people working for him who do not understand how the policy works and is giving wrong advice. There was no bad language used, I was not raising my voice either. She was angry that I was questioning her wrong advice so she hung up. When I called back she refused to answer, I left a message for Kevin to call me back because I would want to know if my employees were giving incorrect information and then hanging up on customers. I have been in the ********************** industry for two decades now so I know how to read policy and I know that pipe burst is covered under the homeowner dwelling limit not the back-up endorsement. I would recommend going with a agent that actually knows what they are selling. The owner never called me back after I left a message to call me back and that is why I left this review. As a business owner I always call my clients back, especially in situations like this. It is very important when you purchase insurance that you vet the agent because you may need his help and customer service is very important in the ********************** industry. His not calling back says to me that the customer service is not goingto be there when you may need it. Buyer beware if you buy from this agent!
