  My mother passed away December 12, 2023. **** **** was paid in January of 2024 to engrave her monument. It is September 23 and they yet have to engrave it. They have since admitted they contract out the engraving and paid someone who never showed up. They continue to give us the run around and make promises never kept. I continue to beg them and they continue to promise. Still not engraved. I also found out they charged twice the amount of other engravers. I only went to them because we bought the monument there in 2005 when my father died. It just want my mothers headstone engraved!!

  We was looking around for a tombstone for my dad grave. Over the phone we checked on the tombstone at *********** to see about a ball park price and delivery time, they advise it would take 3 to 4 months for delivery and the concrete pad was included in the price . Because of getting it quicker then other companies, we decided to order it and then they told us, the concrete pad is separate. We ordered it late February 2024. My mom paid 1/2 down upon order and balance before delivery. They sent us proofs to approve. The proofs was nice and very pleased. She paid the balance on May 28th and they had promised to deliver it on a Saturday. When we called to see what happen they advised a funeral came up and they would get to it soon. It has been 2 months and still not delivered. We have called multiple time and get the same thing, I need to talk to the boss. I called the main office and spoke to **** and she was to check with the boss and call back. She would see what the problem was and see if they could have it set before Friday 7/26. Not a call back. :( Now when I call the main ******************* office, it seems they pick up and hang it back up. My mom was visiting here from ******** and was in hopes to see it. My husband has left many messages and I spoke to **** regarding her visit here. Very disappointed in this company. Wish we would have went with another company even though it might be months before we would have got it. Wish I had read the reviews before we dealt with this company. ***** was paid 2 months ago and no stone has been delivered and will not answer the phone when we call. My mother is 83 and on a fixed income and sure hope we have not lost our money.

  We had hired a contractor to do the setting and he told us he would be delivering the monument.  He didn't communicate with us and got another full  time job and didn't let us know.  The monument is being installed today.  We are supplying the customer with a bigger base at no extra charge to the customer. The contractor will not be working for our company as of this present time.

  It was a mistake to use this company. We asked them install the monument in the certain way and of course, it was installed backwards and it was off the ground level. Finally after a several phone calls, the turned it around & leveled it but moved the monument away 1f from the actual grave. The owner of this company refused to move it to the correct spot, we ended up to hire a different company, paid $100 to move the stone back to the grave. Should not pay the full amount to them, needed to see the final installation first. The owner took the money but did not provide the good service, not recommended to anybody. Wish we can get back $100 back from this company for failing to do the job they promised on the agreement.

  The cemetery tells us where to install the monument because they install the cemetery foundation. We installed the monument on the cemeteries foundation that lined up with the grave immediate to the west. We were in the process of getting back there to move it. Initially the family told us that the Russian lettering faced the way we set it, They changed their minds and we went to go turn it around.

  My wife and I decided to purchase our tombstone to alleviate our children from having to go through this difficult process. Our local church cemetery has exceeding stringent regulations on the size and what can be displayed on a monument. We worked with several different monument companies, some local and others out of town. Mr. ******************** President of Pohl & King Monument Company, was the only individual who understood our monument design requirements and how to meet the cemetery board regulations. He did an outstanding job of working with us, suggesting various monument designs and materials that would meet our needs and the regulations of the cemetery board. We believe Mr. ***** vast knowledge of the monument and the cemetery businesses enables him to provide excellent solutions to complex situations in these industries. This was accomplished in a professional manner.Pohl & King Monument Company has a highly trained staff from the office manager to ************* and the installers. Our monument exceeded our expectations in that the stone was of extremely high quality and the workmanship was superb. This was accomplished at a price point below the other monument companies we worked with. We highly recommend Pohl & King Monument Company.

  Have used this company for my great grandparents , grandparents, parents, step parent ,Aunts and Uncles .What a mistake .Ordered a small ground marker for my Aunt on 7/6/22 and made down payment of $487.83 .After months of delays and excuses they said marker was finally done on 3/15/23. Made final payment of $487.83 plus another payment of $140 for the foundation at that time.Have been calling on bi monthly bases since March since final payment. They have given every excuse in the book of why this marker has not been set at Salem Lutheran Cemetery .You call and the line now is the guy is out of the office and he'll call back, are leave a message we'll get back to you . No call backs, E mails are texts .I gave them the benefit of the doubt for months because family has used this comany for many years. How times have changed and not for the good for this company. They are fast to take money and then don't deliver on product they agreed to.This company has caused financial and emotional distress for my family.Was suppose to have small grave side memorial on 6/11/23 ( Aunts Birthday) with family from here and out of town . Again didn'thappen because of this company.

  The monument is completed and we submitted the foundation order to the cemetery at the time of it being processed. Its paid in full and we are waiting for the cemetery to complete the foundation. This is out of our control and doesn't have anything to do with us. The cemetery guy retired and now they have someone new to complete the foundation. It should be completed very soon.

  Words can't express the professionalism and excellent service **** displayed. I wanted a headstone less than 6weeks and **** and her teamed made it happen. She kept me updated every step of the way. I was able to get a bigger headstone and a lower price. Go see **** don't judge a book by its color you won't be disappointed.   Awful customer service. I paid in full in May of *********************************************** Every time I call, I get some bogus answer and the run around. I have been told last fall that it was in and they were just waiting for the foundation to be laid before they could mount it. In December, I was told that it would be mounted within two weeks. Now, i was told that they arent sure what the status is, if its even in or been engraved. I feel like my family is owed some kind of refund. This is very frustrating beyond ridiculous.

  Due to the lingering effects that the Covid crisis caused, the supply chain all orders have been delayed. I am sorry for the wrong information that was provided about the delivery date. We have since terminated our former employee for not providing our customer with accurate information. The ********************** is in the process of being engraved now and we are wanting to get it in the cemetery by Feb 15th if not sooner.
