  I would absolutely avoid this company for Christmas lights. They tried to charge us $960.00 just to put up and take down the lights when the local fire department charges $300.00 to do the exact same thing. Every year they will increase your price .50 cents a bulb until you find yourself in the same situation we were. To make matters worse when they hung our lights this year they left an end plug touching a gutter so every time you tried to turn on the lights it would take out multiple breakers. How do you miss that... Charging too much money for for a substandard product while simultaneously pricing yourself out of a five-year relationship is a bad look. I think I will buy my own new lights and find a more reasonable provider of ladder work...

  I appreciate that we were able to provide service to you for 5 years, however, this review implies that we were somehow trying to sneak in a price increase without prior notification. This is not the case and not how we conduct business. For clarification, I am providing details of our email and text communications that included our pricing structure for 2023 and an actual work order with your specific pricing. 9/5 12:52 p.m. - Email reminding you of our Oct early install discount w/pricing 9/6 - 2:40 p.m. Resend of email promo w/pricing 11/20 - 10 a.m. - Job reminder email w/ work order attached showing pricing for the job 11/20 - 10 a.m. - Text job reminder with work order attached showing exact pricing We are always transparent when we have any price increases. ACI also does not store the lights, so you could have chosen any other provider this year. You hired us to hang, maintain and take down your lights after pricing had been provided. There are many guys running around with ladders putting up lights, however, few of them are carrying work comp and liability insurance for lighting. ACI pays a substantial amount of money in order to provide peace of mind for our customers that they won't be sued if my employees fall off of their roof as well as making sure our employees are taken care of if a work injury occurs. Those costs alone drive up our cost of doing business, so we believe we provide a service at a fair price. Regarding the request to repair a malfunction in the lights, you contacted us at 5:57 pm on 11/23 and I had a crew at your house the next morning at 8 a.m. That was the only service repair request we had from you through the entire Christmas season and it was dealt with promptly. I don't believe that qualifies as a substandard product. Agreeing to have us hang your lights, maintain them and then take them down before any complaint is aired, while not paying the $960 invoice is disingenuous at best.
