Student Aid Application Services, LLC (hereinafter referred
to as SAAS) is a fee-based FAFSA preparation service that specializes in the
review and submission of the FAFSA on behalf of its clientele.  The opportunity for such FAFSA preparers was
implemented and authorized by the US Department of Education in the Higher Code
of Education in the year two-thousand and eight (2008).  The purpose of a FAFSA preparation service is
to potentially lessen the amount of incorrect FAFSAs that are submitted to the
US Department of Education on an annual basis. 
FAFSA preparers also provide their time and experience to help educate
their clients on the process of filling for federal student aid.  It is the goal of all FAFSA preparation
services to lessen the stress level that most families feel during this tedious
and; oftentimes, confusing process.  SAAS personally does this by offering a redesigned, more
fluent form of the traditional application in an effort to make the process
quicker and easier to follow.  SAAS also
offers thorough, professional reviews of each application they receive before
submitting it to the US Department of Education for final processing.  Furthermore, SAAS also provides each client
with unlimited customer support seven (7) days a week to assist with all other
questions or issues that may arise during this process.  Each client is offered an individualized
experience in which they may contact the Customer Care department and have
their questions answered, have additional research conducted, or receive assistance
with completing other processes such as applying for Federal Student Aid PINs,
making changes to a submitted FAFSA, etc. 
Lastly, while most clients are comfortable speaking with any member of
the Customer Care Department, SAAS is happy to offer the ability for a client
to work one-on-one with an application specialist for an even more
individualized experience.
 
While SAAS does advertise through various online websites
such as Google and is required to identify that the assistance they offer is
for the federal application known as the FAFSA; SAAS does not identify itself
as the US Department of Education.  All
advertisements do identify that the company and its agents are third-party
FAFSA preparers not affiliated with any government agency as do the disclaimers
located directly on the website at the top and bottom of each page.  Additionally, more than half of the homepage
of the website is dedicated to providing information about the benefits of a
FAFSA preparation service and the service fees associated with SAAS.  SAAS also provides a direct link to the US
Department of Education’s website advising that this application can be filed
free of charge by following the link. 
All provided information is intended to allow the applicants the
opportunity to make a decision that best meets their needs whether that means
placing an order with SAAS or filing their application directly with the
Department of Education.
