    I was referred to Dr. Silverstein from an Optometrist for glaucoma . Silverstein tested me and he did a good job and was an excellent doctor and in 2014 I switched to seeing a optometrist who also did the test for glaucoma at the same time as my eye check up so I never went back.

    Anyhow just recently I changed optometrist. My new doctor was also wanting to schedule to test me for glaucoma at a later time and told me that he would not know if my condition was the same as previous test or worst until next year when he tested again.

    This did not make sense to since I been tested for glaucoma all these years by two different doctors. What I realize is that there was a loss of history and continuity so I thought that I was wanting the history to be consistent so that i would not have to wait a full year to find out if my condition has changed or not.

    The reason why this is importation is because if someone has glaucoma the earlier it’s caught the greater chances of saving your eyesight. So since I saw Dr. Silverstein in the past and they had history on me I thought it would be good to go back to him and hopefully get the continuity going again.

    So I scheduled an appointment and went to the office to see Dr. Silverstein but was meet with a rude nurse who told me that I would had to have an eye test first and then scheduled a glaucoma test on a different day. I explained to her that I already had an eye exam and just needed a glaucoma test. She explained that she would not be possible.

    I explained to her that in the past that I only got a glaucoma test because I was referred and did not need two appointments. I also explained that i had to take 1/2 day off for this appointment and that I would have to take another 1/2 day off to come back for a separate glaucoma test. To me this is just money grab for the two separate appointments. The nurse the entire time dismissed my information that I provided about my pass experiences.
