  Do not use Cory B***! I am posting here to warn everyone about my experience with him. I hired Cory to build a roof over my patio. Following are the issues: 1-he did not get a permit; 2-he was not licensed or insured (my bad for not checking this out until after the fact; 3-the job was poorly done and was sloppy; 4- two other contractors looked at it and were appalled at the job he had done; 5-he did not do the actual roofing (shingles) part of the job, so I did bring in my roofer to put the roofing materials on it and he was also shocked at how poorly it was done; 6-my roofer could not do his part without a permit; 7-Cory refused to get a permit. He refused because that meant he would have to get licensed and insured and he wasn't going to do that. But he strung me along for 4-6 weeks before he finally said he wasn't going to get the permit. I don't believe he ever intended to get the permit and strung me along hoping I would go away. Fortunately, the city inspector was very nice and grated the permit after the fact and I was able to get the shingles installed. 8-the city inspector did come out to see if and also said it was a very poorly done job. He couldn't believe anyone would do that. 9-I hired another contractor to fix some blatant crap work. I cannot stress enough not to use this ""contractor". If there were negative stars to give, I would do so,

  Do not hire Cory Berg construction, LLC. We ask if they could build a pergola with a metal roof. He said yes. He said metal is hard to even get right now so he said polymer was the way to go so we said ok. I paid for all materials up front. First day they tear existing railing and start the post for the pergola and the top for the roof. So far so good. Second day was a mess. The guys show up and one ones mess ** in drugs. All the rest of the boards that were put up were not measured correctly and un level. The roof was put on and is was loose and you could lift it up with the slight a bit of wind and would leak with rain. The guys left at 3:00 and said they were done. Absolutely it was not done. They would show up at 11:00 and leave at 3. We called **** and he said they would be out the next morning to fix it and it would be done..They had to tear it all down and redo it. The polymer was trash and we had to buy more. Once again showing up at 11 and leaving at 3 and still not done. He also ask me for cash to pay his worker Because he could not pay him. He said he would be back the next day. Day four no call no show. So we called him and he said he would be out the next day. This is his last chance to get this done and done right. Got it done. One week later it rains. The roof is leaking and the water is not even going in the guttering that they put up. The guys were so **** on the deck that everything is loose and we now have to fix that. He said the day I paid him if anything was wrong they would come back. I have called and text messaged and no response. DO NOT HIRE CORY BERG CONSTRUCTION!!!!!!
