Was at Aesop's at the same time as the pre ious reviewer. The man working the counter was kind, and friendly. The other people with bags were going to the game room, where bags and backpacks are allowed. There are a LOT of signs leading to the front door, stating no bags, purses, or backpacks allowed in the retail area. All of us in my group were more than happy to place our bags in the lockers, with locks. There were 4 of us girls shopping that day. We all were treated with respect. I would highly recommend this very unique store. Great merch, friendly people.

I went into this store for a second time because I found that shop and the person working very friendly and welcoming. Didn't make me remove my purses( since they have a no backpack or big bags rule). I double checked and was able to look around no problem the first time; however the second time I went into the store the gentleman working who was a bit older and a lot more rude told me to leave me purse in an in protected box cubby outside the store. I mentioned that I didn't have to do that last time and didn't feel comfortable leaving my wallet. But not wanting to not be able to look I said I was going to take my wallet out and leave my empty bag but was wondering why the group of people before me were able to walk in the store with multiple bags. But before I could explain or say anything else be began to say I didn't have to shop there if I didn't want to and said while I was trying to take pictures of the signs to message or talk to the owner he said he is friends with the owner so won't matter and I wasn't allowed to take pictures and to leave. I was able to get some pictures. Overall felt personally attack when I entered the shop and wouldn't recommend to go alone or without someone on the phone or something to have your back. Especially if you're a woman or person with special needs. Noticed that mostly woman who have bad experiences in that shop from comment's on ******.
