I had my driveway sealed with Permaseal in 2020. I thought I understood sealing with this product would eliminate the annual sealing that my concrete contractor recommended. Their info online says it saves annual sealing. Well, surprise! When I began to see spots on the surface where the concrete seemed to be coming off or pocked marks I contacted Permaseal. They inspected it and the owner of the company says their product goes deep into the concrete but does nothing for the surface. That limitation is sure not what I expected. I say buyer beware. If you think you're getting your surface sealed then you are not. I could have saved a lot of money and paid to have my drive surface sealed annually. Here is a link to their online claims about concrete sealing. Sounds to me it saying that it seals the surface as well. ******************************************

PermaSeal Concrete Sealant chemically reacts with concrete to create new material, not concrete, not sealant, but a building material with the best properties of both, protecting against corrosive materials such as acids, salts, oils, etc.  PermaSeal concrete sealer is an industrial sealer for use on new or existing concrete that has been poured to ASTM standards.  If concrete has not been poured to ASTM standards, PermaSeal does not warranty said concrete.  PermaSeal does not protect against, warranty or guarantee against cracks, cracking, concrete pop or popping.

PermaSeal USA does not back their workmanship. I had them out to bid cleaning and sealing my 2yr old cedar fence. The salesperson gave an elaborate presentation in the backyard complete with a binder full of photos showing before and after results on how the fence would look after the detergent application, powerwashing, and sealant application. They mention that there would be a 3 month "curing" time after which the fence's original color would "pop." The salesperson spoke of the great BBB reviews and referred to areas of my fence that still looked fresh as to how my fence would look after the treatment. I was told the process would take 2-3hrs. The workers weren't at my house for 45mins. It was raining and below freezing and was obvious they were rushing through the job. I watched from my windows and saw no detergent applied to my fence. I called after 3 weeks to express my disapproval of the results and how my fence does not look any different than prior to the powerwash and treatment. I was told to call back at the 3 month mark and that I would definitely see the new fence look at that time. I called at the 3 month mark & was told that they weren't going to do anything to try and make this right. They said the did everything they were contracted to do. Yes, they apparently put a sealant on my fence. But why build up with photos comparisons and express how my fence will look brand new if that's not what is actually going to happen. I can understand if my fence were 20 years old but it's only 2 years old. This company doesn't care for it's customers and is a complete fraud. Everything I was told in the sales pitch was lies. Stay far far away. Don't get scammed like I did. *** ****** and his team will take your hard earned money for nothing in return. This company won't be around for long with all the terrible reviews, so your 20 year guarantee on the sealant means absolutely nothing. *** ****** was extremely unprofessional and knows nothing about customer service

I paid Permaseal $8,500 to seal my one year old deck. Some of the boards are cracking and two are starting to warp. Wish I had seen these reviews before hiring them. Obviously, its a scam.

We do not warranty or say we will prevent warping or cracking. Our product is installed to prevent rot and decay which it sounds like is not the problem you are having. We will always be happy to do an evaluation based on pictures or sending our quality control team. We do recommend yearly cleaning and applying an oil based stain after the curing process has passed.

I should have took heed of the reviews I read. I paid half the cost to have my concrete driveway and the front entrance resealed on October 4. The work was scheduled to begin on December 2 on December 1 the installer called and said his so was sick, and someone would call me on December 5 to reschedule. The rescheduled date was December 14, on that date I had an installer coming to install double storm doors. That would interfere with the front entrance being resealed. I was given a date of January 2.. That is totally unacceptable. I only pray that this is not the beginning of future regrets.

It would be nice if this review could be updated after the work had been completed.  I understand your install had to be rescheduled which is inconvenient, but giving us a bad review based on a scheduling issue does really make sense.  I really hope you are pleased with the work we completed and would be willing to let us know with a new review.

******** came and told us they would strip the stain off of our deck ( took two samples to make sure it would come off fine) and then they would seal it so that we would never have problems again. They could not get all the stain off the deck and now it is streaked with stain. We are now being told that they are a sealing company, not a "cosmetic" company. The young man that came to do it, admitted it looked terrible, but said, "hey, it's sealed and that's what we do". Then the mold came. Quality control was no help. This product did not work for us and they will not refund our money. My 68 year old husband will need to get on his hands and knees and spend weeks to fix our deck that they ruined. SMH. *************************************

It is in our statement of understanding that we will do our best to remove any preexisting stains or coatings.  We never guarantee 100% removal of any existing coatings on the deck.  You still have the 25 year guarantee against rot and decay and are welcome to apply any oil based stain you would like to achieve the color you are trying to get.
