The issue is the power camp qualifications or/requirements. It states fifth grade or 11 years old. My grandson is in fifth grade and hes 11 years old and now he can no longer participate because hes not started six grade and hes 11 years old. I was told that requirement is not about age however, if you look at the requirements thats listed in black-and-white it says 11 year old and he is 11 year old. I think its because there was a situation that happened at the *********** location and I believe it was based on race That now the retaliation is he can no longer be there.

Regarding the *********** age care and summer programs, my son has been assaulted on multiple occasions by students and staff. Last year, he was kicked in the privates twice and was the only one who received consequences, because he started it with a verbal confrontation, the third time was because a child dared another child to do this, saying he'd give the child a chip, (since they had seen this was okay to do to my son and other children had not been reprimanded for the same action. The second time, my son was pulled by his arm into the hall and yelled at in front of the other children. Two ******* ago, a staff member hit my son in the face. The staff have often just been sitting on their phones, with the children playing unsupervised. When altercations happen between children, most often there were no adult witnesses to the incident and the staff decide which version of the incident they want to believe. A month or so ago my son was suspended from the program when a child attacked him and my son restrained the smaller child from being able to hit him. I expressed concerns about the lack of supervision to the Site Director and advised that I would work to transition my 9 year old to take the bus for his own safety. She took that and twisted it and informed the school, but not me, that he was no longer enrolled in the program. I told her to enroll him again, as he isn't prepared to stay home alone in the mornings. I asked that we keep everything in writing moving forward, and that this was retaliation for me expressing my concerns. She asked to meet in person and I reminded her I would like everything in writing. Today, a Friday, I received an email saying my son is no longer allowed at the program until I meet with her in person. I called her to schedule a meeting and explain giving no advance notice is also retaliatory. She did not answer my call and I had to leave a message. They have discriminated against my son's adhd disability.
