On January 27, 2022, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business failed to provide direct supervision to an unlicensed electrician who was performing work on the business's behalf in violation of Minn. Stat. 326B.082 subd. 11 (b)(1)(5)(9); 326B.33, subd. 12 and 326B.36 (2020). Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to ensure all registered unlicensed employees perform electrical work under the direct supervision of a licensed electrician; all the employees, subcontractors and independent contractors are either actively registered and properly supervised or licensed. The business also agreed to ensure all permits and requests for inspections are obtained before beginning any work. The business shall pay $750.00 of penalty assessed in the Consent Order of April 2018, with the remaining $1250.00 stayed and an additional penalty of $4,000.00 is stayed, on the condition that the business fully complies with this Consent Order and no violations of any law, rule or order.
