I purchased a higher end fireplace from ********* Fireplace for installation outside of their normal service area. They installed it and did a test start because construction infrastructure wasnt in place to fully fire. All of this was great. Weve had some construction delays that prevented use of the fireplace since installation, not TCFs fault. I called in November to schedule a startup which I was told would be a cleaning / service call and have potential added costs for travel since the location is out of normal service area. Still all good and they had high demand this time of year so I was given a service date of 12/26. I called two times prior to Christmas to get confirmation and timeframe. No response. When I did get a response I was told that the service was canceled due to employee availability and being out of service area. I was also told that I should find a local service provider. No local provider options were offered. Ive been told that I could get service in February which is unacceptable to me.Where I need help understanding the situation is if the install location is out of the service territory, then why did the sale take place? I waited 6 weeks and being told to wait at least another month because they have customers ahead of me now. I have no confidence that this wont happen again. Please help
