This contractor hired personnel who had never been employed to do construction work before. These workers were not supervised. Handrails were installed where they were over 1 ft higher on one side than the other. One handrail was only hanging on by one s**** which made it useless. Multiple holes were left in walls and drip marks from stain. The antique lock mechanism on a door was broken. Workers left equipment behind and left a mess where they worked. The shower pan used duct tape as a liner, insulation was installed backwards. Contractor assumed that plumbing would not have to come up to code in a house 100 yrs old which added 5k to the bill. The floor of a bathroom was poured unevenly which meant everything had to be ripped out. Workers installing floor tile were untrained and often looked at their phones for tutorials. Contractor also lied to us about materials being 'special ordered' or a vendor not supplying shower pans to match walls, or that items purchased from big box stores were specially made and couldn't be matched. Workers made disparaging remarks about home and made inappropriate comments to homeowners. There were constant admonishments to workers to work fast, rather than do work appropriately. Workers were heard complaining about management as well as how things were being done.
