The fact that I have to issue one star to get my point across on this board is almost as frustrating as this company's service basis. I was referred to this company to have my generator service which was 2 years old at the time when they came out to service my unit they insisted that they had to be moved etc... Ever since they have moved my unit they never could get it restarted and have cashed my check for the service rendered and have refused to fix a perfectly fine running generac prior to their appointment. I have since checked with two other generac companies as well as the building official for my local Township and my generac should have never been moved After several attempts I decided that I could at least leave this review to warn any consumer in the future about this company that I cannot find enough superlatives to express my how dissatisfied I am with this scam of a company that cashes your check and never completes your work or renders the service that they were hired for as they do not return phone calls as they have been notified at least a half a dozen times over the course of two years now that my generator has not worked since the day that they have put their hands on it. I as a business owner of myself and absolutely in disgust with this company and highly recommend to any consumer in the future to consider this review

We were called out to service the generator. When we arrived, we found that the generator was not installed per the manufacturer's instructions or per state or national codes. The generator is required to be a minimum of 5' from windows or openings. The generator was installed less than 5' from windows and doors. The generator was installed less than 5' from the dryer vent. The generator is required to be installed a minimum of 18" from the house it was not. The generator is required to have a minimum of 36" clearance on the front and both ends. The original location did not have 36" clearance from the exhaust end. The generator is also required to be a minimum of 36" from the meter can. The generator was installed less than 36". The automatic transfer switch is required to have a main breaker. The original transfer switch did not have a main breaker. We brought all items up to code. We will be happy to return and solve the problem. I cannot speak to the fact that other contractors or the building official was called.
