    We hired Superior Fence to build a basic privacy fence on 2 sides of our yard and a 4’ gate for an area next to our garage. Their sales rep visited our property and sent us a proposal which included a drawing of the fencing along with a 4’ section marked next to our garage (which we assumed was the gate we discussed), and also included a “box” around a large neighboring tree that was growing too close. The proposal included tear-out and removal of our existing fence and gate. On the day that the tear-out of the old fence and gate was to begin, we had a visit from Eric to go over the plans in person, and he modified the plans saying that a box around the tree was not necessary, instead he recommended moving the fence portion in by 8” to eliminate the need for the box. We agreed, assuming there would be a price deduction for removing the box from the plans. They removed our old fence and gate, and replaced it with fence panels ONLY, including the section that was supposed to be a gate. When I contacted them for resolution, they claimed that we never asked for a gate and that they never quoted one! Why would we want them to remove a gate and replace it with a solid fence panel? There is no way for us to access that area of our yard now. Eric tried twice to get us to sign a form that said, “no changes were made”. When I pressed him, he added a hand-written note about removing the box but never followed through on adjusting the cost for us. The owner Phil told us that we should have noticed that they didn’t quote a gate, because a gate would have been drawn differently in the proposal. (How would we know that?!) The owner Phil’s only resolution offered was to try to sell us a gate now for an additional $515.00! (that was supposedly “discounted” to make up for their poor communication) They were VERY shady by not deducting the amount of the tree box they never built. (Until I pressed them multiple times about it) I would never recommend this company to anyone!
