My 3 daughters recently attend Diamonds Edge Ranch horse camp/chef camp the week of Aug 7-11, 2023. The fee was $450 per child. Camp ran from 9am-3pm. My husband and I have several concerns we wanted to make the public aware of concerning this business: 1. Lack of adult supervision. At pick up/drop off times there were no check in/check out procedures. We never visualized the camp director/owner, ****** ********, at pick up/drop off to supervise. We never met or ever saw **** ******* who worked with our daughter. In fact, ******* left chef camp 2-3 times mid-day. 2. A lack of a daily schedule & learning points/expectations for chef camp. There was a general schedule for horse camp. The original flyer advertised chef camp stating "Culinary campers will join Chef ******* in the kitchen to learn the ins and outs of the culinary world. Campers will learn kitchen & food basics. They will experience meal planning and bring home some delicious goodness to share. At the conclusion of camp they will leave with their own hat, apron and photographs." This was extremely misleading and not at all the experience my daughter had. 3. We signed our daughter up for chef camp, not to be used as a grunt worker to prepare the lunches for the horse campers. She did tasks such as peel potatoes, husk corn, butter bread, cut cucumbers, make cookies for horse campers lunch, and prep a turkey for the owner's Thanksgiving. She made 8 cupcakes to bring home. 4. The chef campers were made to do farm chores such as feed chickens, ducks & rabbits, water garden, clean dog pools, paint 20 produce signs, and groom horses. 5. Kitchen area was dirty and cluttered. Not at all a commercial grade kitchen. It was simply someone’s kitchen in their home. 6. Owner & camp director, ****** ********, reprimanded & spoke to my daughter in an inappropriate manner. I did talk to owner at the end of camp about my concerns. On 8.11.23 at 10:47pm, owner took to Facebook and publicly talked about me. -*** **
