Refreshing Paws is engaged as a kennel, providing boarding services for dogs and cats. Boarding facilities for dogs include inside cement 4' by 8' runs. Dogs are taken out on a leash and put in outside runs, 4' by 15', 2 or 3 times a day for about 1/2 an hour. The dogs are fed Purina dog or puppy chow, and are given any medications you leave for your pet. Cats and other small pets are kept in a separate room, in cages, and are let out individually twice a day to exercise in the room. The entire building is heated and air conditioned. Visitors are welcome to tour the building at any time. The business was established and incorporated in Maine in 1987. They employ 3 people.
