      Midcoast has failed to show up for heat pump annual maintenance for the second time in three years. An annual maintenance contract was signed both times and the company billing said they would call and set up an appointment after receiving payment. The appointment was not set until I called them a month later. Then they failed to show. Done.

      In June I contacted Midcoast Energy systems in ************ because I wanted to have a on-demand water heater installed. I talk to the secretary and she contacted the plumber who would come and look at it. She estimated the whole job with the installation in a couple of hours work would be $440. However when he arrived here he looked at the things he spent 5 to 10 minutes and said he wouldnt install it because it required a 60 amp breaker. He suggested I go with a 3 gallon water heater that you have under sinks for my shower ??? and I said I would investigate it and then I looked at it and said it was not what I wanted for what I was trying to do. He did not install anything, he did no work he was here 10 minutes *** and then I received a bill in July that said I owed them $220. There was no mention of this fee in advance for coming out and doing an estimate or looking at the situation which is what he was doing. I wrote back and asked her why are you charging me $220 for an estimate? I received no response and now I have another bill with interest payments added to it so now its $229. I do not feel I owe them a dime for coming out and telling me they wouldnt do it.
