They did a great build. It looked better than the pictures on their website. They were on time and on budget. I am currently having a second shed built by them.

*** and his crew build beautiful sheds and more. The quality, integrity and workmanship is top notch. Our family has been thrilled with all aspects of doing business with ***. We are a repeat customer and other family members are as well. Best of the best!

This builder charged $55/hr for travel and on site time for a crew of 4. They took the ferry for an island job and worked 3 hour days after taking lunch breaks. Poor planning of build sequence meant more trips. Lots of unstained and open end grain wood put up. We were told build would happen by May 23 and they finished job in October 23. Had materials delivered to site that sat in elements for 3 months. Dont order a custom build. It was a long, drawn out very expensive mistake.

*** hired us to construct a small accessory structure on ***********.  That was a mistake on our part.

Our company has provided many, many buildings to customers located on islands in the ******** area.  All of our customers are aware that island builds carry additional cost.  Ferry schedules and fees, additional costs for delivering materials to the islands, as well as shortened work days all contribute to a bigger bill than doing a comparable building on the mainland. *** was well aware of that when she hired us to construct her cabin.  $55 an hour is a bargain for island work.

Normally, we offer out our buildings as flat fee/cost projects.  **** was a custom build (something which adds time), using blueprints provided us by a college student who is a friend of Anns daughter. The plans provided were nebulous as well as very inefficient with the use of materials. Exactly what one would expect from an amateur.  *** was insistent we use these plans and not deviate from then.  Again, costing more time.

There was also the issue of working with a customer who fancies herself an expert on construction when she clearly knows little. We have built thousands of buildings over 23 years of being in business.  *** was the most difficult.  Insulting, condescending, and demanding more than what was negotiated in the original scope of work is just a few traits one can expect when working for ***. It got so bad we did something we have never done.quit. We only agreed to go back to the island after we made it clear to *** that she would need to change her attitude or we would not finish the job.  Again, more time wasted.

Staining and painting were never part of the scope of work and *** knows that!  We 100% fulfilled everything expected of us.  *** would never had paid if we hadnt.

I think it is noteworthy that the contractor working on the main house told us to be careful working with *** as she is erratic, demanding, and a difficult person.  We met a painter on one of our ferry trips to Anns job who told us she also quit working with *** and ***** been paid.  A roofing contractor quit halfway through putting a roof on Anns primary residence in ****** for the exact same reasons we quit. He only agreed to go back after the gc agreed to be the intermediary. All contractors need to stay far away from ***.

To summarize, we are confident we conducted ourselves in a professional and fair manner.  This review by *** is nothing more than a cowardly final shot Our only failure was to accept *** as a customer
