On 8/19/22 I placed an order for outdoor carpet to be installed on my front porch with Charles, a salesman for Carpet Land in Towson , Maryland. I was told the carpet should be received in about two weeks. Installation was scheduled for 9/13/22. On 9/14/22 Carpet Land's scheduler ,Joe called to learn how I felt about my purchase and the installation. I told Joe I was not happy about a number of issues and particularly that the molding at the base of the picture window was all scuffed up and paint chipped. I also told Joe I recently had the porch painted in preparation for the rug replacement. I did not want any painter damaging the new rug with spilled paint. Joe asked me who my salesman was and I told him Charles. Joe then commented he will relay this information to Charles and have him stop out and take pictures and maybe they could paint the molding.I have since discovered other issues with the installation.. In the process of removing the old carpet they ripped up the brick edging between the carpet and the brick wall . I have found chunks of brick on the porch. This has resulted in an unsightly border of 1/2" to 3/4 "around the brick wall of the porch and the newly installed carpet. This could have beencorrected at the time of the installation by running one inch of the carpet onto the brick wall prior to gluing it onto the porch. In the process of either removing the old carpet or installing the new carpet somehow they managed to break off two inches from the bottom of one of the wrought iron railing supports. Instead of discarding the broken piece, which obviously has been done, they should have admitted the accident occurred and saved the piece to mend a repair of that supportThere are areas where the carpet is folded over the edge of the porch and supposedly glued down. There are areas where this folded edge is not completely glued down.On 9/16/22 I called Joe and he had not contacted ******* and they have made no attempt to resolve issues

      Case # ********* Jeannie *******
Carpet land has been to this customer's home three different instances to take care of any finish problems that she had around the edges of the porch. Today, Carpet Land furnished and installed carpet base with top edge cloth bound and Ms. Hubbard was happy with the results. If you have any questions feel free to either contact me; and of course, please contact the ned user.

      Thank you,

      to me

      Hi Lisa

I just wanted to update you that Carpet Land had their installer here today and he glued down the bound rug edging . Under the circumstances it is acceptable with a bit of humor. The weave of the rug edging that he installed today is in the opposite direction of the rug on the porch.

Now we can both shake our heads and consider this case closed.

Thanks again for all your help.
      Jeannie
