    It doesn't fully protect my machine. It bombards me with excessive popups asking me to pay more. It didn't remove a ********* malware that throws (other) warning popups every three minutes. The subscription is fragmented- I have to pay different amounts several times a year. I'm less protected than I was a year ago per its protection graph that very often appears. I'm already paying an excessive amount for its service. Its popups often cover what I'm reading or working on and sometimes don't go out immediately.

    Called in to cancel the *** service, was answered by a man from a foreign country. I explained that i did not wish to renew. He then told me he sees I have ******************************** from ***** and another foreign country from my home internet! I asked why this was not addressed before I called to cancel and he said it was not coming through the vpn but thorough my local provider. He said if i do not have *** that they will have access to all of my devices. He then wanted me to allow his "Manager" access to my computer to see where it is coming from. I told him I would have to ask the business owner if he would allow. He told me to just call back in when ready. I called my local internet provider where they confirmed that MY NETWORK IS SECURE and there is not any addresses from ***** trying to attack. I called back *** and when ask stated I would like to cancel my account. He said I see you were just talking to my manager I can transfer you to him. I said I would like to cancel my account. He said ok he has to send an email to his boss and that it would take 2-7 days for cancel. Never got a confirmation email so i went online and chatted with "*******" . The Man on the phone never put in the cancellation request... "*******" was steadily trying to offer me discounts. I flat out asked to cancel, "*******" came back with more offers. I then came back with "I called in to cancel less than an hour ago and he obviously did not do so. CANCEL MY ACCOUNT" He then came back with.. thank you for holding i have initiated a refund. You will receive an email blah blah. I then asked for the name of the gentleman I spoke with. He was sorry to inform me that they don't have the option to identify that person, Id get an emailed survey and closed the chat. You can not talk to anyone other that the call center in ***** for customer service.

    If I could give zero stars I would. VERY misleading account records. I purchased a year's subscription in January 16th of 2023. Everything I read says it lasts a year. Everything under my accounts indicated the subscription would renew after a year- NOWHERE ON MY HOME PAGE AND RENEWAL INFORMATION DOES IT SAY MY $32 DOLLAR SUBSCERIPTION WOULD RISE TO $107- and one month EARLY! I was charged 11 months after my original purchase date, on 12/ 20/2023, for a renewal that begins 01/24/2024. I believe this is a cheap attempt to increase sales before the year's end. I reached out to my bank because I didn't recognize the charge. They told me since the payment is pending and has not posted, and I caught it so quickly, AVG should be able to reverse the charge- which then AVG claimed they can't and it would take 5-7 business days to refund. Money is already tight around the holidays so this was an added stressor. The AVG helpline said they emailed me a reminder, however the reminder was worded and titled in a subtle manner in which learning disabled people, like myself, would miss, especially considering they send me 3 emails a month offering me subscriptions that I ignored because I didn't want to pay more than I was led to believe I was already paying- $32. Instead, I'm now out $107 and STILL waiting for a follow up from AVG 48 hours later, when I was told I would be contacted within 24. I have worked for one shady company that utilized these cheap tactics before and hope you consider your INTENTIONALLY MISLEADING account homepages and emails. I'm furious, stressed, and hope this business crashes if they don't better their ways.

    If you need customer service at any moment, do not choose AVG. This customer experience was terrible. I have now twice attempted to close the account. They confirm that it has been closed. When the billing date rolls around, they charge me again. When contacting support yet another time, they have sent me in circles. I have not been able to close the account, and they are going to charge me again in 30 days. Do not enter with this company. Their customer service is lacking. I had to go through my bank finally to block the merchant. I spoke with customer service ranging from regular employees to senior staff. The issue they refuse to resolve citing their refund policy. I had not purchased their service nor signed up for a trial. Despite the fraudulent charge, they continue to cite their refund policy. Don't do business with AVG.
