I had trees removed after a tornado that hit my community last summer. Nationwide handled the trees and stumps, they used a front end loader that torn up a good portion of my front lawn and the areas where the stumps where. We had agreed to take the stumps down to ground level and clean up the mess, along with TOP SOIL, seed and straw to complete the reclamation project. The stumps now stick up about 6 inches above ground level and the back fill was no more than yard waste composed of some dirt but mostly mulch dust and fine chunks, the remainder was pee gravel. The two man created mounds and said they would settle to ground level WRONG, I now have mounds at all six stump. The owner now says that he will not take of the entire issue because he has been buying from the same source for years. I do not feel feel its my place to cover the CRAP that his company delivered. This is another example of a company that does not stand behind their work. I do not recommend this company to anyone because they are very expense and they do deliver the promised results !

I have three Magnolia Bushes that have turned into trees. They are about 20 feet high. I decided to hire an arborist to come in to give advice and to begin the process of bringing these beauties under control. I expected it to be 1. Be expensive and 2. Take several years of trimming. Magnolias do not trim well. It ruins them. I knew I needed a certified arborist. I wanted the best I could find. I called and made an appointment with Nationwide Tree. After carefully explaining the situation, the person making the appointment recommended the owner's son, Jason. The appointment was for today between 8 and 2. It is now 3:30. I have waited all day. I called them. I was told that the owner "didn't want to be bothered by your 3 Magnolia bushes". So I have waited all day. The OWNER could not be bothered to even call and cancel the appointment. The person on the phone was embarrassed. Up to you, but I can't recommend that you call this business. How do you think the owner will treat you?

I sincerely apologize for the Miscommunication. I am the owner of Nationwide Tree Service and this is the first I'm hearing about your complaint. I do have a son that is an estimator for my company but his name is Austin. I've been in Florida since June 28th and will be returning to Maryland this evening. July 5th. I am the certified arborist and licensed tree expert for my company. If you'd still like an estimate I can come by personally and come up with a plan for your magnolias. If that's something you're interested in please call me personally and I'll set up an appointment with you.
    Thanks

Disappointed in how the tree cutting employees lacked care of other vegetation in yard. I noticed that the men only removed a few lower limbs of the pine before the wedge cut was made and the tree allowed to fall to the ground, and some limbs into my flower garden. I had to run down to remove the limb as now one seemed to care it was on my flowers. A prior company I used to cut down a similar tree, climbed the tree and cut off many branches before the rest of tree was taken down. When tree limbs were being removed to the grinder, the driver of the machine with grappler, was rushed and knocked down my 20 ft. Arborvitae. Some part of the root ball was lifted out of the ground and when righted up, the tree was crooked. The team tied a rope around the top part of the tree and tied it to another tree. I inspected the tree when they were gone. There were many branches connected to the trunk inside that were broken and had to be removed, and there were many areas on the trunk where the bark was split or torn off. I am continuing to have to remove dead branches and had an arborist examine the damage to the tree. My positive comment is that they cleaned up the grounds and street of limbs and branches.

I'm really sorry about your experience. This is not typical of our company. I thank you for bringing it to my attention. I will discuss this situation with the crew that did your job and use this as a learning experience for them and my company. Please let me know if there's anything I can do for you to make the situation better.
    Thank You

Thank you very much for following up with me. At this time, there is nothing that I need. I debarked the areas of the tree trunks that were damaged in hopes that the bark heals itself and keeping a watch for dying branches. Hopefully the tree will be able to withstand the damage that it took.
