  I used Helix ********************************************* in 8/2023 to put my 1 bedroom apartment into storage for about 1 year. This was a positive experience; so much so that I decided to rehire Helix for a cross country move to the ********** in 8/2024. What a mistake-I cannot stress enough how much I regret that decision. The experience can only be described as abysmal. I felt completely disregarded as a customer. I cannot in good faith recommend Helix ********************************************* Company due to their poor customer service, the damage to my items and their claim process to pay for the damages they clearly caused not to mention the emotional trauma. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with these unprofessional issues. I suggest looking elsewhere for a more reliable and customer-focused experience.After filing a claim for the damaged goods, I was offered pennies on the dollar to make up for the destruction of my property. Furthermore, in order to receive any money, they were requiring me to basically sign another contract that prohibited me from posting any negative comments or reviews. If I did, they could sue me and I would be responsible for all their legal costs. Obviously, I did not sign their insulting offer to replace my damaged items.This could be why there are so many positive reviews. They are silencing customers with bad experiences.

  We sincerely apologize for the damage caused during your move. While we strive to provide a great relocation experience, we understand that damages can sometimes occur, and we deeply regret any inconvenience this has caused.
  
  We offered a compensation of $731.00 for the damaged items, which we believe to be fair under the circumstances. It's important to note that you opted for limited liability coverage (60 cents per pound per article), which would typically result in a reimbursement of $165.00 for the damaged items. Despite this, we offered a higher amount as a goodwill gesture and you willingly refused. We simply couldn't meet your refund expectations of $1,150.00 as there was no additional coverage purchased.
  
  Regarding the overall relocation process, we have met our commitments by picking up and delivering your items within the promised timeframe while keeping you informed about everything. Once again, this industry is very delicate and accidents and damages can happen often. We will always try do to our best and improve, and we value negative feedback as well.

  The company did off a number "best and final" of $432.00. With that number, they sent over another contract explaining that I could not post a negative review. I then asked to speak to their lawyer or the owner of the company, as I was not going to sign another contract which would silence me. I was told the owner was out of the country and they did not have a lawyer on retainer. After the weekend, the company called and had a new number of $731, still with the caveat that I would need to sign a document that I would not post a negative review. So I opted for nothing, however, they did send me $165.60 total. I would also like to point out that I was not given the contract ahead of time to read through and was directed by the ******* to choose the "60 cents per pound option." I thought he was trustworthy and looking out for me. Multiple times I verbally said "I do not understand what this means" to him. The *******, actually wrote on a post-it note "60 cents per pound per article" to show me what I am supposed to write. It was sneaky and poor business practice. If I had been given the contract ahead of time, I would have been able to make an informed decision and paid the additional fee for FULL Replacement coverage. My new job was reimbursing all moving expenses, why would I not choose to take full coverage?

  Im beyond thrilled with my service. ****** and ****** were prompt, very helpful and were kind enough to make sure I had everything on and off the truck. They helped situate the furniture and they were very kind to my dog! I will be using helix again in the future!
